Naresuan Cave
Naresuan Cave ( th, ถ้ำนเรศวร) is a pit cave within the Noen Maprang District of Phitsanulok Province, Thailand. Inside this cave, there is a descending limestone which looks like the Royal Helmet of King Naresuan King Naresuan the Great (( th, สมเด็จพระนเรศวรมหาราช, , ) or Sanphet II ( th, สรรเพชญ์ที่ ๒), ( my , နရဲစွမ် (သို့) ဗြနရာဇ်); 1555/1556 – ..., hence the cave's name. Descending and ascending limestone in this cave is very beautiful and strange-looking. The cave is very challenging for adventurers because its entry to the ascending and descending limestone hall is rather difficult. Noen Maprang District
Noen Maprang ( th, เนินมะปราง, ) is the southernmost district (''amphoe'') of Phitsanulok province, central Thailand. History To better cope with the problems caused by communist insurgents in northern Thailand in the 1970s, the government separated Tambon Noen Maprang from Wang Thong district to create a minor district (''king amphoe'') on 6 September 1976. It was upgraded to a full district on 1 April 1983. Geography Neighboring districts are (from the north clockwise) Wang Thong of Phitsanulok Province, Khao Kho, Mueang Phetchabun, and Wang Pong of Phetchabun province, Thap Khlo, Wang Sai Phun, and Sak Lek of Phichit province. Naresuan
King Naresuan the Great (( th, สมเด็จพระนเรศวรมหาราช, , ) or Sanphet II ( th, สรรเพชญ์ที่ ๒), ( my , နရဲစွမ် (သို့) ဗြနရာဇ်); 1555/1556 – 25 April 1605) was the 18th monarch of Ayutthaya Kingdom and 2nd monarch of the Sukhothai dynasty. He was the king of the Ayutthaya Kingdom from 1590 and overlord of Lan Na from 1602 until his death in 1605. Naresuan is one of Thailand's most revered monarchs as he is known for his campaigns to free Ayutthaya from the vassalage of the Taungoo Empire. During his reign, numerous wars were fought against Taungoo Burma. Naresuan also welcomed the Dutch.
