Naresh Kumar Shad
Naresh Kumar Shad (1927 1969) (Urdu: نریش کُمار شاد ) (Hindi: नरेश कुमार शाद ) was a ghazal, qat'aa and rubai writer. Biography Naresh Kumar Shad was born in Ahiyapur, Urmar Tanda, District Hoshiarpur on 11 December 1927. His father Nauhariya Ram ''Dard Nakodari'' was a prominent and well known Urdu journalist and poet writer very famous back in those days. Having born to a Bhalla family of Nakodar a small Kasba type of a town in Jallandhar, he inherited fluent use of Urdu and Persian from his father. Naresh Kumar Shad did his high school from Govt. High School Chunian. His wife name was Varsha Shad and couple had son, Rakesh Shad. Kartik and Akash Shad are their grand children. He got Government job and was posted at Rawalpindi and later on transferred to Jallandhar. Nakodar
Nakodar is a town and a municipal council in Jalandhar district in the Indian state of Punjab. The city is almost 365 km from Delhi, 25 km from Jalandhar, 49 km from Ludhiana, and about 101 km from Amritsar. Surrounding villages include Chak Mughlani, Maheru, Allowal, Mehatpur ( Haripur) (Bhullar) Nawan Pind Jattan, Heran, Bir Pind, (Aulakh), Shankar, Jalandhar, Shankar, Nur Pur Chatha, Sarinh, Jalandhar, Sarih, Malri, Khanpur Dhadda, Uggi, and Malhian Kalan. The town is well paved and currently forms a Tehsil of District Jalandhar. Outside the town, there are two large tombs dating from the times of Emperor Jahangir, later one of them is said to be the burial place of the adviser of Emperor Shah Jahan, but it is not known who stand buried in the earlier tomb. Nawab Mirza Khan Daagh Dehlvi ( ur, , 25 May 1831 – 17 March 1905) was a poet known for his Urdu ''ghazals''. Josh Malsiyani
Labhu Ram (1883-1976), better known by his pen name Josh Malsiyani, was an Indian Urdu poet who much acclaimed during his time. He was born in a poor family in the Aquilpur locality of Malsian, a small town near Jalandhar which town was the domain of Bedi family till Sir Kalim Singh Bedi’s migration to Rawalpindi in the 19th-century. Josh’s father, who mostly lived in Peshawar, was an illiterate small-trader. After being trained as a teacher in Lahore Josh started teaching Urdu and Persian in a school in Jalandhar but in 1913 settled permanently in Nakodar where he spent the rest of his life as a school-teacher and guiding budding Urdu poets. He had himself started writing Urdu poems when he was eight years old and later on became a disciple of Mirza Khan Daagh Dehlvi.
