Narendra Nath (tennis)
Narendra Nath (5 May 1922 — 25 August 1999) was an Indian tennis player. Nath, an All-India hard court champion from Lahore, competed on tour in the 1940s and 1950s. In 1950 he won the Surrey Championships, beating reigning champion Czesław Spychała in the final. Nath made the singles third round at Wimbledon twice and was a men's doubles quarter-finalist with countryman Naresh Kumar in 1953. He was subsequently picked to partner Naresh Kumar in doubles for the 1954 Davis Cup. Wimbledon Championships
The Wimbledon Championships, commonly known simply as Wimbledon, is the oldest tennis tournament in the world and is widely regarded as the most prestigious. It has been held at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, All England Club in Wimbledon, London, since 1877 and is played on outdoor grass courts, with retractable roofs over the two main courts since 2019. Naresh Kumar (tennis)
Naresh Kumar ( hi, नरेश कुमार; pa, ਨਰੇਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ, نریش کُمار) (22 December 1928 – 14 September 2022) was an Indian tennis player. He was the captain of the India Davis Cup team from 1989 to 1993. Early life Kumar was born in Lahore, Punjab, British India on 22 December 1928. Playing career Kumar played his first tournament at the 1949 Indian International Championships and reached the semi-finals. In the spring of 1949, he reached the final of the Northern Championships in England before losing to Tony Mottram. Later that year, he lost to George Worthington in the final of the East of England Championships. He began playing in the India Davis Cup team in 1952 and represented India for the ensuing eight years. Czesław Spychała
Czesław Spychała (; 1 January 1917 – 25 December 1994) was a Polish tennis player active in the decade before and after World War II. Biography Spychała was born in Posen, German Empire (modern Poznań, Poland). He represented Poland in the Davis Cup on a single occasion. In 1938 Poland played against Italy in the second round of the European zone. He played the doubles match with his teammate Ignacy Tłoczyński against Ferruccio Quintavalle and Valentino Taroni and lost in five sets. Italy won the tie, played on clay courts in Milan, by 3–2. Spychała was scheduled to play the doubles match against The Netherlands in the first round of the 1939 Davis Cup competition but was replaced by Tłoczyński when he did not how up on time. The Surrey Championships also known as the Surrey Grass Court Championships and the Surrey County Championships is a defunct tennis tournament played in Surbiton, Surrey, England on outdoor grass courts.
