Simhadri Narasimha Satakam
Simhadri Narasimha Satakam (Telugu: సింహాద్రి నారసింహ శతకము) is a compilation of Telugu poems by Gogulapati Kurmanatha Kavi in the 18th century. He wrote the Satakam extempore in praise of Lord Varaha Narasimha of Simhachalam. Author Gogulapati Kurmanatha Kavi was a Brahmin, born to Buchanna and Gauramamba. He has two brothers Venkanna and Kamanna. He was born in Vizianagaram district Vizianagaram district is one of the six districts in the Uttarandhra region of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh with its headquarters located at Vizianagaram. Vaishnavism ( sa, वैष्णवसम्प्रदायः, Vaiṣṇavasampradāyaḥ) is one of the major Hindu denominations along with Shaivism, Shaktism, and Smartism. It is also called Vishnuism since it considers Vishnu as the sole supreme being leading all other Hindu deities, i.e. ''Mahavishnu''.
