is a passenger railway station located in the city of Mimasaka, Okayama Prefecture, Japan, operated by West Japan Railway Company (JR West). Lines Narahara Station is served by the Kishin Line, and is located 66.4 kilometers from the southern terminus of the line at . Station layout The station consists of one ground-level side platform serving a single bi-directional track. There is no station building and the station is unattended. is a railway line operated by West Japan Railway Company (JR West) between Himeji, Hyōgo and Niimi, Okayama, Japan. The name of the line comes from the first kanji of Himeji () and Niimi () which the line connects. is a city located in Okayama Prefecture, Japan. As of March 31, 2017, the city has an estimated population of 28,502 (34,338 in 2004) and a population density of 66 persons per km2. A side platform (also known as a marginal platform or a single-face platform) is a platform positioned to the side of one or more railway tracks or guideways at a railway station, tram stop, or transitway. A station having dual side platforms, one for each direction of travel, is the basic design used for double-track railway lines (as opposed to, for instance, the island platform where a single platform lies between the tracks). Side platforms may result in a wider overall footprint for the station compared with an island platform where a single width of platform can be shared by riders using either track. The abbreviated JNR or , was the business entity that operated Japan's national railway network from 1949 to 1987.
