Nara Prefecture
is a prefecture of Japan located in the Kansai region of Honshu. Nara Prefecture has a population of 1,321,805 and has a geographic area of . ''Pandit'' ''Kaviraj'' Nara Nath Acharya (1906–1988) was a Nepalese '' Pandit'' (Sanskrit Scholar), ''Kaviraj'' (Ayurvedic physician) and writer of Sanskrit and Nepali language. He is best known for his biography of the poet Bhanubhakta Acharya, first published in 1960. He was a grand nephew of Bhanubhakta Acharya. His biography of pioneer poet Bhanubhakta is the second most important after the one by Motiram Bhatta (1866-1896) the first biographer of Bhanubhakta. Naranath had tripled the information on the pioneer poet. He elaborated Bhanubhakta's works by publishing many of the poet's work for the first time. Nara was part of the Japanese team that broke the world record in the 4 x 50 m freestyle at the 2000 Summer Paralympics, At the same games she also finished fourth in the 100 m freestyle, sixth in the 400 m freestyle and finished fifth in her heat of the 50 m butterfly. Nara Bhupal Shah ( ne, नरभूपाल शाह) (1697–1743) was a king of the Gorkha Kingdom, which lies in modern day Nepal; and the father of Prithvi Narayan Shah.
