Nappo
Nappo is a diamond-shaped German candy, chocolate-covered nougat, that has been produced since 1925. Nappo was originally produced in Krefeld Krefeld ( , ; li, Krieëvel ), also spelled Crefeld until 1925 (though the spelling was still being used in British papers throughout the Second World War), is a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The company was sold to Moritz in 1994, which was in turn bought out by WAWI chocolate AG in 2007, but the chocolate remains more-or-less the same, still sold in simple coloured foil wrappers. Nougat
Nougat ( , ; ; az, nuqa; fa, نوقا) is a family of confections made with sugar or honey, roasted nuts (almonds, walnuts, pistachios, hazelnuts, and macadamia nuts are common), whipped egg whites, and sometimes chopped candied fruit. The consistency of nougat is chewy, and it is used in a variety of candy bars and chocolates. The word ''nougat'' comes from Occitan (), seemingly from Latin 'nut bread' (the late colloquial Latin adjective means 'nutted' or 'nutty'). Two basic kinds of nougat exist. The first, and most common, is white nougat or Persian nougat ( in Iran; in Spain), made with beaten egg whites and honey; it appeared in the early 7th century in Spain with Arabs.
