Napoli Piange E Ride
''Napoli piange e ride'' (i. e. "Naples cries and laughs") is a 1954 Italy, Italian musical film, musical melodrama film written and directed by Flavio Calzavara and starring Luciano Tajoli and Jula De Palma . Plot Luciano had to give up singing and his theatrical career following an accident, which made him paralyzed: he is a watchmaker. when the master blasi, a well-known Don Giovanni, discovers that Marisa, Luciano's wife, has a beautiful voice and gets her a profitable contract, the watchmaker, suspecting an affair, is saddened by it. blasi proposes to the woman to run away with him and when she refuses, she enters Marisa's house at night and tries to use violence on her. the woman reacts and in the fight blasi is mortally wounded by a shot from his own gun. Piero, the fiancé of Luciano's sister, rushes in and in a fit of generosity, to save Marisa, pleads guilty to the killing. Edoardo Toniolo
Edoardo Toniolo (22 November 1907 - 31 December 1986) was an Italian actor and voice actor. Life and career Born in Turin, the son of the stage actors Antonio and Rosa Rosaz, at young age Toniolo debuted on stage in supporting roles. He later worked on radio, and in the mid-1930s he started appearing in films, usually in character roles. After the Second World War, and following his role as leading actor in Ferruccio Cerio's ''Posto di blocco'', Toniolo also started working as a dubber, and since 1954 he was also pretty active in television dramas. He was sometimes credited as Edward Douglas. Enzo Maggio (10 October 1902 – 13 July 1978) was an Italian actor. Born Vincenzo Maggio in Naples into a family of actors, Maggio made a long apprenticeship in the avanspettacolo theaters before and during the Second World War. Vincenzo Musolino
Vincenzo Musolino (9 May 1930 – 9 May 1969) was an Italian actor, director, producer and screenwriter. Life and career Musolino was born in Reggio Calabria into a humble family, and lived as a fisherman. During the military service he held in Venice, he was chosen by Renato Castellani for the leading role of Antonio in the neorealist drama ''Two Cents Worth of Hope''. Following the success of the film, Musolino appeared in several films, mainly in supporting roles. In 1964, he dedicated himself to the production of genre films, often working with director Edoardo Mulargia, with whom he also wrote several screenplays. In 1968, one year before his premature death, he was the director to two low-budget Spaghetti Westerns, in which he was credited as Glenn Vincent Davis.
