Pasqualina Napoletano
Pasqualina Napoletano (born 28 September 1949) is an Italian politician and Member of the European Parliament for the Central region with the Democratici di Sinistra, a Vice-Chairwoman of the Socialist Group, and sits on the European Parliament's Committee on International Trade. She is a substitute for the Committee on Foreign Affairs. Career Napoletano was born in Molfetta, Province of Bari. She joined the Italian Communist Party in 1971, and was responsible for the women's section in Rome; in 1980, Napoletano was elected member of Lazio Regional Council, and also became group leader. She was elected to the European Parliament in 1989, and became Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Budgets. Filippo Napoletano, whose real name was Filippo Teodoro di Liagno (or Teodoro Filippo de Liagno) (c. 1587-89 – November 1629) was an Italian artist, with a varied output, mainly landscape and genre scenes and also drawings or etchings of diverse, often particular, items such as exotic soldiers, skeletons of animals, or cityscapes. Biography Born in Rome, he moved as a child with his family to Naples, where he began his career (1600–1613). He moved to Rome around 1614. Neapolitan ragù (known in Neapolitan as and Italian as or ''ragù napoletano'') is one of the two most famous varieties of meat sauces called ragù. It is a speciality of Naples, as its name indicates. The other variety originated in Bologna and is known in Italian as ''ragù bolognese'' or ''ragù alla bolognese''. The Neapolitan type is made from two main parts: meat, and tomato sauce to which a few seasonings are added. However, a major difference is how the meat is used, as well as the amount of tomato in the sauce.
