Naomi Bristow (born 4 October 1997) is a country music artist from Beeton, Ontario, Canada. Early life Her family was involved in rodeo, which led her down the path of country, western and gospel culture. Career Bristow has opened for artists including Gene Watson, Johnny Reid, David Frizzell, Moe Bandy, Ronda Vincent, Charlie Daniels, Marty Stuart, Jim Ed Brown, George Canyon, Bobby Bare, and Dean Brody. Naomi Bristow's Easter version of "Hallelujah" (new lyrics by Kelley Mooney) went viral in the Spring of 2019 and reached 14 million views on Facebook. The song is a cover of the song written and recorded by Leonard Cohen in 1984. In 2019, Bristow was invited to go on tour with the Scott Woods Band, performing 90 shows in 95 days. Beeton is a small community located in southern Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada between Tottenham and Alliston; all three were amalgamated in 1991 into the single Town of New Tecumseth. Robert Joseph Bare Sr. (born April 7, 1935) is an American country music singer and songwriter, best known for the songs "Marie Laveau", " Detroit City" and "500 Miles Away from Home". He is the father of Bobby Bare Jr., also a musician. Early career In the 1950s, Bare repeatedly tried and failed to sell his songs. He finally got a record deal, with Capitol Records, and recorded a few unsuccessful rock and roll singles. Just before he was drafted into the United States Army, he wrote a song called " The All American Boy" and did a demo for his friend, Bill Parsons, to learn how to record. Instead of using Parsons' later version, the record company, Fraternity Records, decided to go with Bare's original demo. Havelock Country Jamboree
The Havelock Country Jamboree is a four-day country music camping festival held in the village of Havelock, Ontario (located northeast of Toronto). Called Canada's Largest Country Music and Camping Festival, the festival has a Thursday through Sunday schedule on the third weekend in August every year.
