MTV Lebanon
Murr Television, marketed and known as MTV Lebanon, is a Lebanese television station based in Naccache, Metn District. History Founded in 1991 by Gabriel Murr, a Lebanese businessman and politician. MTV was shut down in 2002 as it was found guilty of violating article 68 of the electoral law of 1999 which bans propaganda during the election process but, since other Lebanese channels did not comply with the law either, some observers suspect that the closure was due to MTV’s criticism of the Lebanese government and of Syria. As well as lawsuit againt MTV In 2005, the Lebanese parliament decided to amend article 68 and reopen the station after the Syrian troops withdrew from Lebanon and the anti-Syrian opposition coalition won a majority in Lebanon’s parliament, but the station remained closed. SuperStar (Arabic TV Series)
''Super Star'' ( ar, سوبر ستار) was an Arabic television show based on the popular British show ''Pop Idol'' created by Simon Fuller's 19 Entertainment & developed by Fremantle Media. The show unites the Arab community by democratically choosing the next singing sensation. The show is broadcast worldwide on Future TV, a Lebanese television station. It is also the first ''Idol'' franchise to feature contestants from multiple countries. The show was a huge success. Ali Jaber, the executive manager of Future TV, was quoted as saying "This (program) is the most successful for an Arab television. There isn't a television program that moved the Arab world like that." The Voice Ahla Sawt
''The Voice: Ahla Sawt'' is the Arabic version of Dutch show ''The Voice of Holland'' created by John de Mol and produced by Talpa Media Group. The first season of MENA's version of ''The Voice'' debuted on 14 September 2012 and was broadcast worldwide from Beirut, Lebanon via MBC 1, a pan-Arabian television station. Through an agreement, the show was also simulcast via LBCI's channels. The first two season's main host was Egyptian actor Mohammad Kareem and Arwa Gouda. Nadine Wilson Njeim hosted from backstage. The format of ''The Voice: Ahla Sawt'' has three stages, which are the blind auditions, the battle rounds, and the live performances.
