Nancy Curlee
Nancy Curlee is an American soap opera writer. She was head writer of ''Guiding Light'' from 1990 to 1994. Her time at the helm of ''GL'' is often considered a golden period for the show. Curlee is married to fellow soap opera writer Stephen Demorest. She retired to be a full-time mother. She has been nominated for several Daytime Emmy Awards. In 1993, Curlee and her ''GL'' writing team won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series Writing Team. Her last ''GL'' writing team consisted of Stephen Demorest, Lorraine Broderick, James E. A soap opera, or ''soap'' for short, is a typically long-running radio or television serial, frequently characterized by melodrama, ensemble casts, and sentimentality. Pam Long
Pamela K. Long is an American writer and executive producer. Long won several Emmys for her work on CBS soap opera ''Guiding Light'' from 1983 to 1990. She was also writer and executive producer on the NBC film Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors, ''Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors''. Career Before writing and acting, Long won the title of Miss Alabama in 1974 and competed for the title of Miss America 1975. At the time, she was attending the University of North Alabama, and was involved in the Phi Mu sorority. After graduation, she moved to New York City and landed the role of Ashley Linden on ''Texas (TV series), Texas'' from 1981 to 1982. Wisner McCamey Washam (born September 8, 1931) is an American soap opera writer, best known as the head writer of ''All My Children'', from 1981 to 1987. Early life and career A native of North Carolina, he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After working in local television and radio in Charlotte, he moved to London where he studied acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. From there, he returned to New York where he worked for four seasons with the American Shakespeare Festival in Connecticut and on national tour.
