Nancilea Foster
Nancilea Marie Foster (née Underwood, born September 14, 1983, in Conroe, Texas) is an American diver, who specialized in springboard events. She is a four-time national diving champion in the individual and synchronized springboard events (along with her partner Cassidy Krug). She also won a bronze medal for the same category at the second meet of the 2007 FINA Diving World Series in Mexico City, Mexico. Diving career Foster started out her sporting career as a gymnast at age five, until she was encouraged by her mother to take up diving. She later became a member of the diving team at the Woodlands Diving Academy in The Woodlands, Texas, where she worked and trained under head coach Ken Armstrong. At age fourteen, Foster's worst fear as a diver came true, when her head slammed against the springboard, while flipping and twisting with a reverse two and a half somersault. Diving At The 2008 Summer Olympics – Women's 3 Metre Springboard
Women's 3 meter springboard competition at the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics was held from August 15 to August 17, at the Beijing National Aquatics Center. It is an individual diving competition, with dives performed from a flexible springboard three meters above the surface of the water. The individual diving competitions all consist of three rounds. In the first, the 30 divers each perform five dives. The top 18 divers advance to the semifinals. Each diver again performs five dives, and the top 12 divers from among those dives advance to the finals. Preliminary scores are ignored at this point, as only the semifinal scores are considered in advancement. In the final round, the divers perform a final set of five dives, with the scores from those dives (and only those dives) used to determine final ranking. Olen Underwood
Olen Ulesus Underwood (born May 25, 1942) is a former American college and professional football player. A linebacker, he played college football at the University of Texas at Austin, and played professionally in the American Football League (AFL) for the Houston Oilers from 1966 through 1969. In 1980, he took the bench of the 284th District Court for the State of Texas, and held that elected position until retiring in 2005. In 1996, he was appointed by then Governor George W. Christina Loukas (born December 19, 1985) is an American diver. She competes in the 3 meter springboard event. Loukas is of Greek origin, and was born and grew up in Riverwoods, Illinois, where she studied gymnastics, swimming, and diving from an early age, before switching to diving exclusively at age twelve. She attended Deerfield High School in Deerfield, Illinois and competed in the off season with the Coho Swim Club. She later moved to Bloomington, Indiana and lives in The Woodlands, Texas. Collegiate career She attended Indiana University and dived for the Indiana Hoosiers, where she was an eight-time NCAA All-American. Loukas won all three diving events at the conference championships, and was one of only four Big Ten divers to accomplish that feat. She graduated in May 2009.
