''Nanarchy'' is the second studio album by Black Rain, released on October 15, 1996, by Fifth Colvmn Records. Reception Aiding & Abetting said "meandering through the experimental electronic universe, Black Rain makes many stops but never really puts down roots." Sonic Boom said the album "is much like its predecessor in that it was written primarily as a soundtrack style album" and "however upon further examination one notices a number of departures from their debut album." Black Rain (band)
Black Rain were an American electro-industrial group based out of New York City. It was formed in 1992 by musicians Stuart Argabright, Chaz Cardoza, Thom Furtado and Shinichi Shimokawa. They released two studio albums on Fifth Colvmn Records: '' 1.0'' (1995), ''Nanarchy'' (1996). The band released their third album ''Dark Pool'' on Blackest Ever Black in 2014. History Black Rain was formed in New York City by musicians Stuart Argabright, Chaz Cardoza, Thom Furtado and Shinichi Shimokawa. Glen Matlock
Glen Matlock (born 27 August 1956) is an English musician, best known for being the bass guitarist in the original line-up of the punk rock band the Sex Pistols. He is credited as a songwriter on 10 of the 12 songs on the Sex Pistols' only album, '' Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols'', although he had left the band early in the recording process, credited as bassist and backing vocalist on only two songs on the album, " Anarchy in the U.K." and "God Save The Queen". Since leaving the Sex Pistols in 1977, he has performed with several other bands, including Rich Kids, who scored a UK top 20 hit with the single "Rich Kids" in 1978, as well as presented his own work. Zalman Fishman
Fifth Colvmn Records was a record label based in Washington, DC. The label was founded in 1990 by Zalman Fishman, owner of the nightclub FIFTH COLVMN, located in Washington D.C. The label's first release was Chemlab's debut EP Ten Ton Pressure. Jared Hendrickson of Chemlab also became the general manager for the label. Chemlab later played several dates with Nine Inch Nails, eventually attracting a distribution deal for their next release, Burn Out at the Hydrogen Bar, with Metal Blade Records. The band Thud was the next artist to join the label. Heavy, loud and unrelenting, Thud became very popular amongst Metal fans and critics alike luring Eli Janney from Girls Against Boys to contribute to their debut record Life & Death and earning co-headling performances with Stone Temple Pilots. Sound recording and reproduction is the electrical, mechanical, electronic, or digital inscription and re-creation of sound waves, such as spoken voice, singing, instrumental music, or sound effects.
