The Kelly Family
The Kelly Family is an Irish-American music group consisting of a multi-generational family, usually nine siblings who were joined occasionally on stage in their earlier years by their parents. They play a repertoire of rock, pop, and folk music, and sing fluently in English, Spanish, German, and Basque. Based on a concept by Dan Kelly, it was co-produced by Kathy and Paddy Kelly and released in 1996 throughout most of Europe. Following the major success of previous albums ''Over the Hump'' and '' Christmas for All'' and the number-one single "I Can't Help Myself," the album debuted number-one in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Kathleen Ann Kelly (born 6 March 1961) is a singer, songwriter, and producer. Born in Leominster, Massachusetts, she is the third child of the musical family group The Kelly Family, a multi-generational pop group that achieved success in Europe in the 1990s. In 1999, Kathy released her first solo album titled ''The Best Of Kathy Kelly'' which, in addition to her best songs from the albums of The Kelly Family (''see'' The Kelly Family discography), contained five new songs. Michael Patrick Kelly (Paddy Kelly) was born on December 5, 1977. He is an Irish-American singer, musician and composer. Kelly was born in Dublin. He came to fame as the third-youngest member of the pop and folk band The Kelly Family, who belong to the commercially most successful acts in Europe with over 20 million records sold since the mid-1990s.
