''Nana'' is the debut album of the German rapper Nana, released on May 19, 1997. It was certified Gold by the German Bundesverband Musikindustrie and Swiss Hitparade. The album consists of eleven tracks and spawned four singles: "Darkman", "Let It Rain" (featuring Saskia Mireille Oldenstam), "He's Comin'" and "Lonely". The album's design was made by Katja Stier. Nana Kwame Abrokwa (born 5 October 1968) is a Ghanaian born German rapper and DJ, performing under the pseudonyms Nana or Darkman. Nana is not an actual first name, but is rather a Ghanaian title of nobility. His 1996 '' self-titled debut album'' was certified Platinum in Poland and Gold in Germany and Switzerland. The album spawned the 1997 hit single, " Lonely", which reached number-one in Germany and Switzerland, and was certified Platinum in Germany. Pop Rap
Pop rap (also known as pop hip-hop, hip pop, melodic hip-hop or melodic rap) is a genre of music fusing the rhythm-based lyricism of hip hop music with pop music's preference for melodious vocals and catchy tunes. Toni Cottura
Toni Cottura (born 7 June 1971), better known by his stage name Smooth T., is an Italian-born German Eurodance and hip hop producer and rapper. Musical career He started his career in 1988 as a hip hop producer with David Fascher and later worked with DJ Shahin. In 1993, he founded the Eurodance group Fun Factory, where he started as a dancer before he went on to producer, songwriter and then moving up to rapping on the band's second album.
