Namiq Quliyev
Namig Guliyev ( az, Namiq Quliyev; born 13 February 1974) is an Azerbaijani chess player. He holds the title of Grandmaster, which FIDE awarded him in 2005. Career In 2003 Guliyev came in first at Bischwiller. In 2005, he tied for 1st–4th places with Oleg Korneev, Andrei Sokolov and Azer Mirzoev at Béthune. In 2009, Guliyev tied for 1st–3rd with Friso Nijboer and Adam Horvath at Metz. In 2010, tied for 1st–3rd with Valentin Panbukchian and Vladimir Malaniuk at Malakoff. In 2012, he won the Open of Plancoët. Guliyev tied for first place with Miguoel Admiraal, Sergey Fedorchuk, Maxime Lagarde and Jules Moussard in the Cappelle-la-Grande Open in 2019. Beylagan (city)
Beylagan ( az, Beyləqan ) is the administrative centre of the Beylagan District of Azerbaijan. During the Soviet era, it was renamed Zhdanov (russian: Жданов) after Stalinist politician Andrei Zhdanov. This move was reverted in 1991 when the city assumed its original name again. Beylagan is one of the oldest towns in Azerbaijan. It is located in the triangle between the Kura and Aras rivers in the Mil plain. Economy 23 industrial enterprises were registered in the Beylagan region. In 2009, industrial enterprises of the region, as well as individuals, produced industrial products by 3.6 million AZN at actual prices. Vladimir Malaniuk
Vladimir Pavlovich Malaniuk (; 21 July 1957 –2 July 2017) was a Ukrainian chess grandmaster and three-time Ukrainian champion. He competed in the FIDE World Chess Championship 1998. In team events, Malaniuk played for Ukraine in three Chess Olympiads (1994, 1996, 1998), two World Team Chess Championships (1993, 1997) and 1997 European Team Chess Championship. He won team silver and bronze medals in 1996 and 1998 Chess Olympiads respectively, team silver and an individual gold medals in the 1993 World Team Championship. Career Malaniuk was a regular participant of the Soviet Chess Championship between 1983 and 1991, his best finish occurring in 1986, when he shared second place, behind Vitaly Tseshkovsky. The Chess Olympiad is a biennial chess tournament in which teams representing nations of the world compete. FIDE organises the tournament and selects the host nation. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, FIDE held an Online Chess Olympiad in 2020 and 2021, with a rapid time control that affected players' online ratings. Jules Moussard (; born 16 January 1995) is a French chess player. He holds the title of Grandmaster, which FIDE awarded him in 2016. Career Born in Paris, Moussard won seven titles at the French youth championships. He is the only player to have won a title in every age category, including the adult championship since his 2022 victory in finals against Étienne Bacrot. In 2002, he won his first title in the French under-8 championship in Hyères, in front of Jacques Netzer.
