Nakayama Kinen
The Nakayama Kinen is a Japanese Grade 2 flat horse race in Japan for Thoroughbreds aged four and older run over a distance of 1,800 metres at the Nakayama Racecourse, Funabashi, Chiba. The race is run in late February or early March. The race was first run in 1937. It was originally run twice a year, in spring and autumn, before a single annual race was established in 1952. Among the winners of the race have been Silence Suzuka, Victoire Pisa and Just A Way. Nakayama Racecourse
is located in Funabashi, Chiba, Japan. It is used for horse racing. It has a capacity of 165,676. It was built in 1990. Physical attributes Nakayama Race Course has two grass courses, a dirt course, and a jump course. The turf's measures 1840m (1 1/8 miles + 97 feet) with a 1600m and a 2200m chute, and the measures 1667m (1 mile + 189 feet) with a 1400m chute. Races can be run on the "A Course" rail setting (on the hedge), the "B Course" setting (rail out 3 meters), or the "C Course" setting (rail out 7 meters). 1000m, 1400m, 1800m, 2000m, 2500m and 3600m races run on the inner oval, while 1200m, 1600m, 2200m, 2600m and 4000m races run on the outer oval. 3200m races run on the outer oval first, then the inner oval. (born March 19, 1969 in Hokkaidō, Japan) is a Japanese jockey. Nicknamed ''Ebi-Shō''. He is best known for riding El Condor Pasa. That won the Japan Cup (1998) and second in Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (1999). In 2010 he won the Japanese Fillies' Triple Crown with Apapane. Win Bright
Win Bright ( ja, ウインブライト, link=no, foaled 12 May 2014) is a Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse best known for his performances in Hong Kong. He showed good early form, winning once as a juvenile and taking the Spring Stakes and Fukushima Kinen in the following year. As a four-year-old he added a win over a strong field in the Nakayama Kinen but the rest of his form was unremarkable. He reached his peak as a five-year-old in 2019 when he won the Nakayama Kimpai and a second Nakayama Kinen before capturing the Queen Elizabeth II Cup at Sha Tin Racecourse. Duramente
Duramente ( ja, ドゥラメンテ, link=no, 22 March 2012 – 31 August 2021) was a Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse. In 2015 he completed the first two legs of the Japanese Triple Crown by winning the Satsuki Shō and the Tokyo Yūshun before his season was ended by injury. He returned in 2016 to win the Nakayama Kinen and finish second in the Dubai Sheema Classic before his racing career was ended by a leg injury sustained in the Takarazuka Kinen. He made a promising start to his career as a breeding stallion before dying at the age of nine. Background Duramente was a bay horse with a white coronet marking on his left hind leg, bred in Japan by Northern Racing. Yasunari Iwata
(born March 12, 1974; from Himeji, Hyōgo Prefecture) is a Japanese jockey who rode the winner of the 2006 Melbourne Cup, Delta Blues. It was Iwata's first race outside Japan. Yukio Okabe (Japanese: 岡部 幸雄, ''Okabe Yukio'', born October 31, 1948) is a Japanese former jockey. He belonged to the Japan Racing Association (JRA) from 1967 to 2005.
