Nakagaya Station
is a train station in the city of Azumino, Nagano Prefecture, Japan, operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East). Lines Nakagaya Station is served by the Ōito Line and is 8.4 kilometers from the starting point of the line at Matsumoto Station. Station layout The station consists of one ground-level side platform serving a single bi-directional track. The station building is modelled after the Kasuke Shrine of the Jōkyō Gimin Memorial Museum. The station is a ''Kan'i itaku station''. History Nakagaya Station opened on 30 May 1915. With the privatization of Japanese National Railways (JNR) on 1 April 1987, the station came under the control of JR East. A new station building was completed in 2015. Ōito Line
The is a railway line in Japan which connects Matsumoto Station in Nagano Prefecture with Itoigawa Station in Niigata Prefecture. There are two operators on the line: East Japan Railway Company (JR East) operates the section north of Minami-Otari Station in Otari, Nagano Prefecture, and West Japan Railway Company (JR West) operates the remaining section. Minami-Otari is the boundary for the two companies. The section of the line, operated by JR East, between Minami-Otari and Matsumoto is electrified and trains are fairly regular along this section. The JR West section from Minami-Otari to Itoigawa, however, is not electrified and is used very little, compared to the electrified JR East section. Trains run far less regularly along this part. Matsumoto Station
is a train station in the city of Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture, Japan, operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East), and the private railway operator Alpico Kōtsū. Lines Matsumoto Station is served by the Shinonoi Line and is 13.3 kilometers from the terminus of the line at Shiojiri Station. It is also a terminal station for the Ōito Line. Chūō Main Line trains using the Shinonoi Line tracks also pass through Matsumoto. Matsumoto is also a terminus for the 14.4 kilometer private Kamikōchi Line operated by Alpico Kōtsū. Jōkyō Gimin Memorial Museum
The is a museum dedicated to the Jōkyō Uprising that occurred in the Azumidaira area of Shinano Province of Japan in 1686 (the third year of the Jōkyō era during the Edo period). The uprising, also called the Kasuke Uprising (the leader of the peasant uprising was Tada Kasuke), is portrayed by the museum to be a struggle for the right to life. Thus the founders of the memorial museum erected two plaques at the front entrance of the building. The one on the left is inscribed with the 11th and 12th articles of the Constitution of Japan. The one on the right is inscribed with the first article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. A , sometimes abbreviated as , is a form of railway station in Japan which is operated by an entity other than the railway company using the station. These stations are commonly operated by the local municipality, an agricultural cooperative, a store in front of the station, or a private individual. Other than the entity operating the station, there is no difference to the passenger using the station. The station attendant generally sells passenger tickets through a ticket window and posts the train schedules, while the train conductor or driver handles collection and validation of tickets in most cases. Because the station attendant does not directly deal with the passengers outside of ticket sales, the types of tickets they can sell is generally limited to fare tickets and books of tickets.
