Naiti
Naity (Bangla: নৈটী, also written as নৈটি) is a census town in Chanditala II Block in Srirampore subdivision of Hooghly district in the state of West Bengal, India. Naity is in between Janai and Chanditala― two historical villages of Bengal and the village is in the eastern bank of the river Saraswati. The village Naity has two parts― North Naity and South Naity. North Naity's nearest railway station is Janai Road and South Naity's nearest railway station is Gobra. Srirampore Subdivision
Srirampore subdivision is an administrative subdivision of the Hooghly district in the state of West Bengal, India. Overview Srirampore subdivision is the most urbanised, and the one with the highest density of population, of all the subdivisions of Hooghly district. Urbanisation started with industrialisation of the Hooghly Flats, the narrow strip of land along the Hooghly and spread inland covering a large portion of Hooghly-Damodar Plain, the agriculturally rich alluvial plains lying between the Hooghly and the Damodar. The entire area is a part of the Gangetic Delta. The Hooghly is a tidal river and has a high west bank. Chanditala II is a community development block that forms an administrative division in Srirampore subdivision of Hooghly district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Antpur
Antpur is a village in the Jangipara community development block of the Srirampore subdivision in the Hooghly District in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is around 20 km from Tarakeswar. Haripal is nearest railway station from Antpur. History The most famous temple in Antpur is that of Radhagovindjiu with exquisite terracotta carvings depicting stories from all the 18 puranas. This 100 feet high temple was constructed by Krishna Ram Mitra, the Diwan of Bardhaman Raj in 1786 (1708 Shakabda). Its ''Chandi Mandap'' and ''Dol Mancha'' have beautifully crafted wood carvings and terracotta. The period when the temple was built was curious. Rajbalhat can be reached conveniently by Bus from Kolkata, Haripal or Tarakeswar. History Tradition has it that Rajbalhat was once the capital of the Bhursut kingdom. It is said that the last fisherman king of Sanibhangar was defeated by one Chaturanan Neogi, who originally carved Bhursut kingdom out.
