Nair Almeida
Nair Filipe Pires de Almeida (born January 23, 1984, in Lobito, Benguela province), is a retired Angolan handball player. Almeida began her career in a small handball team called Escola de Andebol da Restinga, do Lobito (EARL). She competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens and at the 2005 World Championship. At the 2007 World Championship Angola finished 7th, while Almeida scored 57 goals and was number six on the list of top scorers. Lobito is a Municipalities of Angola, municipality in Angola. It is located in Benguela Province, on the Atlantic Coast north of the Catumbela Estuary. The Lobito municipality had a population of 393,079 in 2014. History The city was founded in 1843 and owes its existence to the bay of the same name having been chosen as the sea terminus of the Benguela railway to the far interior, passing through Luau, Moxico, Luau to Katanga Province, Katanga in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
