The Mumbai Suburban Railway ( Marathi: मà¥à¤‚बई उपनगरीय रेलà¥à¤µà¥‡) (colloquially called local trains or simply locals) consists of exclusive inner suburban railway lines augmented by commuter rail on main lines serving outlying suburbs to serve the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Naigaon is an area under Vasai Taluk in the Vasai Virar Belt that is separated by the Vasai Creek from Mira-Bhayandar, Thane and Mumbai city. It is linked by the Versova Bridge /Ghodbunder Bridge to Navghar village, which is connected from the east side of the settlement by the National Highway and it is the First Settlement in Vasai Virar after crossing the Vasai Creek. Naigaon in the eastern side is well connected to NH 48 / WEH. Bhayandar is a suburb outside the Mumbai located near the Vasai Creek. It has a large Gujarati and Marwari population as well other mixed populations as well. It falls under the North Central ward of the Municipal Corporation. Geography Bhayander is located on the northern portion of Salsette Island and at the northern part of the Konkan region. Bhayandar comes under the jurisdiction of Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation. Churchgate (station code: CCG) is the southern terminus on the Western Line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway. It is located in Churchgate in South Mumbai, Maharashtra. History Early history The Fort area built by the British had three main gates. One of these gates led straight to Saint Thomas Cathedral Church, hence it was named "Church Gate".
