''Nai'' (; en, Yes) is the name of a Greek album by singer Anna Vissi. It is her third studio album and includes the soundtrack of the TV series ''Methismeni Politeia''. It was released in Greece and Cyprus in 1980 by Minos EMI, EMI Greece. In 2006, a remastered version was released, including the Greek participation song in the Eurovision Song Contest, ESC 1980 "Autostop", featuring the Epikouri band, as well as two remixes of the song "Oso Eho Foni". The album reached gold status. Background and release After the success coming from her 1979 album ''Kitrino Galazio'', Vissi remained on pop tunes with this album. "Methismeni Politia" was the theme song for a popular drama series during the 1980–1981 TV season on Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation, ERT, months before the release of the album and the song subsequently became the first single. Anna Vissi
Anna Vissi ( el, Άννα Βίσση, , ; born 20 December 1957), is a Greek Cypriot singer and songwriter. She studied music at conservatories and performed locally before moving to the professional scene in Athens, in 1973, where she signed with Minos and simultaneously collaborated with other musical artists and released promotional singles of her own while studying at the University of Athens. Vissi established herself in the recording industry by winning the Thessaloniki Song Festival in 1977 with the song "As Kanoume Apopse Mian Arhi" and releasing the eponymous debut album. Since the 1980s, Vissi began a nearly exclusive collaboration with songwriter Nikos Karvelas, to whom she was married from 1983 to 1992 and had one child with, resulting in one of the most successful music partnerships in the nation's history. It is part of Minos EMI's special edition "EMI Years" compilations of early recordings by artists which were either signed to them directly or of releases which have since become part of their back catalogue. Minos EMI is a record company based in Athens, Greece. The company serves as the Greek record label and offices of the multinational Universal Music Group. EMI is credited for founding the record business in Greece in the 1930s, by producing the first records and building the country's first recording studio. Founding of recorded music in Greece In 1930, British Columbia Graphophone Company and Gramophone Company, which a year later merged to form EMI Group, formed a partnership along with Greek investor Lambropoulos Brothers Limited to produce records in Greece.
