Nahid Niazi
Naheed Niazi (born 26 February 1941) is a former Pakistani playback singer who performed in the Lollywood movies during the era of 1960s. She is married to musician Muslehuddin; her sister is the singer Najma Niazi. She is known for her playback songs, "Chali Re Chali Re Main To Des Piya Ke Chali Re", "Raat Saloni Ayi", and others. Life and career Naheed was born as Shahida Niazi on 26 February 1941. Her father Sajjad Sarwar Khan Niazi was a poet and musician, and was also a director at Radio Pakistan. He was also an uncle of the former cricketer and politician Imran Khan. Naheed started her career in 1957 by singing a song for the movie ''Laila Majnu'' under the music direction of Rashid Attre, while she was still a student at St Joseph's Convent School, Karachi. Though the first song she recorded was "Mil Gaya Dil Ko Qarar" in ''Ayaz'' (1960) for Khawaja Khurshid Anwar though the film released later. Pride Of Performance
The Pride of Performance ( ur, ), officially known as Presidential Pride of Performance, is an award bestowed by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to recognize people with "notable achievements in the field of art, science, literature, sports, and nursing". The Pride of Performance is the highest national literary award of Pakistan conferred upon its citizens and, while it recognizes literary contribution, it can also be conferred upon foreign nationals. It is usually awarded by the president once a year at the Pakistan resolution day, but announcements are made at independence day ceremony held on 14 August. The award recommendations are made by the country's administrative units or respective ministry to the state governments where officials send it to the Cabinet Secretariat and then president or federal government for final approval. Khalil Ahmed
Khalil Ahmed (3 March 1936 – 22 July 1997) was a Pakistani composer for radio, television, and films. He started his career with film ''Aanchal (1962)'' and remained one of the leading music directors in Pakistan in the 1960s. He composed several memorable songs for Pakistan Television in the late-1970s and 1980s. Early life Khalil Ahmed was born on 3 March 1936, in Agra, British India. He migrated to Pakistan in 1952. ''Nagin'' is a Pakistani fantasy musical film, directed by Khalil Qaiser and was his first Urdu film as a director. It was produced by Wazir Ali under banner ''Films Hayat''. It stars Neelo in the titular role and her first leading role with Rattan Kumar in his first leading role as an adult. It also marked his second appearance in dual role in Pakistani cinema. The supporting cast includes Husna, Yousuf Khan, Nazar and Saqi. Music of the film was composed by Safdar Hussain. ''Nagin'' won a Nigar Award in the category of best director. The film was remade by Hassan Tariq as ''Naag Aur Nagin'' in 1976. The film proved to be a breakthrough for Neelo's career. Neelo Begum (born Cynthia Alexander Fernandes; ''née'' Abida Riaz; 30 June 1941 – 30 January 2021) was a Pakistani veteran film actress. She made her film debut in 1956 with Hollywood film ''Bhowani Junction''. She was known as ''The Queen of Romance'' and ''The Princess of Romance'' for her portrayal of romantic roles. Musarrat Nazir Khawaja ( ur, ; born 13 October 1937) is a Pakistani singer and film actress, who acted in many Urdu and Punjabi films. She, many years later, also sang solo, mostly wedding and folk songs. Early life Her parents were a Punjabi middle-class family Kashmiri origin from Lahore. Her father Khwaja Nazir Ahmed, worked as a registered contractor in Lahore Municipal corporation. Early in her life, her parents wanted her to be a doctor, and provided her with the best possible education they could afford.
