Nadim Lataif
Nadim Lataif (born 1936) is a Lebanese retired security officer who served as the general director of General Security between 1988 and 1990. After retiring from the post he joined the Free Patriotic Movement (FPM) and resigned from the FPM in 2010. Early life and education Lataif was born Baadarâne, Chouf District, Lebanon, in 1936. He hails from a Christian family. He is a graduate of Saint Joseph University where he received a degree in law. He also obtained a diploma from the Military College in Beirut. In addition, he attended courses in security at the American Federal Bureau of Investigation. Career and activities Lataif started his career as a lieutenant in the Lebanese Interior Security Forces (ISF) and later, was promoted brigadier general in the ISF. General Directorate Of General Security
The General Security Directorate ( ar, الامن العام, al-Amn al-'Aam; french: La Sûreté Générale) is a Lebanese intelligence agency founded on July 21, 1921 and originally known as the "first bureau". On June 12, 1959, Decree-Law No. 139, in force from that date, was published. Under this decree the General Security becomes a branch depending on the power of the Minister of Interior and headed by a Director General, as President. On December 16, 1959, Organizational Decree No. 2873 was published. It establishes a regional organization of general security and creates more Branch, regional departments, border, maritime and air. Michel Aoun
Michel Naim Aoun ( ar, ميشال نعيم عون ; born 30 September 1933) is a Lebanese politician and former military general who served as the President of Lebanon from 31 October 2016 until 30 October 2022. Born in Haret Hreik to a Maronite Christian family, Aoun joined the Military Academy in 1955 and graduated as an artillery officer in the Lebanese Army. In 1984, he became the youngest Commander of the Army, at the age of 49 years.
