Nacho (footballer, Born 1980)
Ignacio Pérez Santamaría (born 24 June 1980), known as Nacho, is a Spanish retired professional footballer who played mainly as a left-back (he could also operate as a left midfielder). He appeared in 220 La Liga games over nine seasons, totalling 13 goals for Málaga (two spells), Levante, Getafe and Betis. He added 124 matches and three goals in the Segunda División. Club career A product of Málaga CF's youth system, Nacho was born in Málaga, and he made his first-team debut on 23 February 2003 in a 1–1 La Liga home draw against RC Celta de Vigo. He went on to play four seasons with the Andalusians, with a loan to Levante UD in the same league in between. In July 2006, upon Málaga's top-division relegation, Nacho signed with Madrid's Getafe CF. Real Betis Balompié, known as Real Betis () or just Betis, is a Spanish professional football club based in Seville in the autonomous community of Andalusia. Founded in 1907, it plays in La Liga. The 2007–08 La Liga season, the 77th since its establishment, started on 25 August 2007 and finished on 18 May 2008. Real Madrid defended their La Liga title successfully after a 2–1 victory over Osasuna. This season, all European leagues ended earlier than the previous season, due to the UEFA Euro 2008 championship. Juan Carlos Pérez Frías (born 27 July 1956), known as Juan Carlos, is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Early life Born in Madrid to hotel employee Pedro Pérez and his wife Isabel Frías, Juan Carlos and his ten siblings (eventually the couple fathered 12 children) moved with the family to Málaga at the age of 14. Club career Nacho played for CD Málaga during nine professional seasons, achieving promotions to La Liga in 1979 and 1982. He made his debut in the competition on 26 March 1977 in a 1–2 away loss against RC Celta de Vigo, and scored his first goal the following weekend to help the hosts defeat Real Sociedad by the same scoreline. José Ignacio Pérez Frías (27 April 1955 – 30 March 2018), sometimes known as just Nacho, was a Spanish footballer who played as a defender. He spent his entire professional career with Málaga, playing 223 competitive matches while appearing in four La Liga seasons. Early life Born in Madrid to hotel employee Pedro Pérez and his wife Isabel Frías, Nacho and his ten siblings (eventually the couple fathered 12 children) moved with the family to Málaga at the age of 14. He started playing football with Puerto Malagueño and Real Madrid Castilla, but suffered an injury while at the service of the latter club and was released shortly after signing. The 2010–11 Segunda División season (known as the Liga Adelante for sponsorship reasons) was the 80th since its establishment. The first matches of the season were played on 27 August 2010, the regular league ended on 4 June 2011, and the season ended with the promotion play-off finals on 18 June 2011. The first goal of the season was scored by Javi Guerra, who scored a sixth-minute goal for Real Valladolid against Villarreal B in the early kick-off. The first red card of the season was given to Hernán Pérez from Villarreal B in their opening game against Valladolid.
