Nachiar Tirumozhi
''Nachiyar Tirumoli'' (; ) is a set of 143 verses composed by Andal, one of the twelve Alvars in Vaishnava tradition. In her restlessness and eagerness to attain Kannan (Krishna), Andal attempts various methods by which she can attain union with him, which forms the major part of work. Among the ''Tirumolis'', ''Varanam Aayiram'' is very well-known and has a special significance. It details Andal's narration of her dream of her experiences with her friends on her way to achieve her purpose of birth (to marry ''Kannapiran''). These 143 verses are a part of the 4000 divine hymns of Naalayira Divya Prabandham. The verses are classified into fourteen decads, namely, a prayer to Kama, not to destroy a sand castle, ''Vastapraharana'', securing union with the Lord, requesting a cuckoo to call her Lord, Kothai's marriage, eulogising Vishnu's conch, Megha Sandesa, prangs of separation from the Lord, seeking help to attain the Lord, and in praise of Ranganatha. Tiruviruttam
The Tiruviruttam () is a hundred-verse poem composed by Nammalvar, a poet-saint of the Sri Vaishnava tradition. It is one of the many works present in the compilation known as the Naalayira Divya Prabandham. According to tradition, it is said to contain the quintessence of the Rigveda. Structure The Tiruviruttam is framed as a love story that unfolds between an anonymous heroine (''talaivi'') and her beloved hero (''talaivan''), while friends, fortune tellers, bees, birds, and the poet’s own heart play important supporting roles, acting as messengers, lamenters, and audiences in the style of a story. Kanninun Cirutampu
Kanninun Cirutampu (), also rendered Kaṇṇinuṇ Siṟuttāmbu, refers to a Tamil work of Hindu literature composed by Madhurakavi Alvar, one of the twelve Alvars, the poet-saints of the Sri Vaishnava tradition. Comprising eleven ''pasurams'' (hymns), the Kanninun Cirutampu is a tribute to Madhurakavi's acharya, Nammalvar. These hymns are part of the Sri Vaishnava canon, the Naalayira Divya Prabandham. Legend The Kanninun Cirutampu is associated with the origin of the Naalayira Divya Prabandham. According to legend, the theologian Nathamuni once heard some people reciting the cantos of ''Āravāmude'' of Nammalvar at Kumbakonam. Captivated by these ''pasurams'' (hymns), he wanted to know more about them. One of the verses also mentioned ''Āyiraththul Ippaththu'' (Tamil: these 10 out of the 1000). Sri Vaishnavism, or the Sri Vaishnava Sampradaya, is a denomination within the Vaishnavism tradition of Hinduism. The name refers to goddess Lakshmi (also known as Sri), as well as a prefix that means "sacred, revered", and the god Vishnu, who are together revered in this tradition. Nalayira Divya Prabandham
The Naalayira Divya Prabandham ( ta, நாலாயிரத் திவ்வியப் பிரபந்தம், lit=Four Thousand Divine Hymns, translit=Nālāyira Divya Prabandham) is a collection of 4,000 Tamil verses composed by the 12 Alvars. It was compiled in its present form by Nathamuni during the 9th–10th centuries. The work, an important liturgical compilation of the Tamil Alvars, marks the beginning of the canonisation of 12 ''Vaishnava'' poet saints, and these hymns are still sung extensively today.
