Nacer Bouhanni
Nacer Bouhanni (born 25 July 1990) is a French professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam . A sprinter, he was the winner of the 2012 French National Road Race Championships. Although his first Grand Tour was in 2012, his real breakthrough was in 2014 when he won three stages and the points classification in the Giro d'Italia. In August 2014 it was announced that Bouhanni would leave FDJ and join on an initial two-year deal from 2015. Career FDJ (2011–14) After a good amateur career, which saw him winning the national cycling military championships, he signed a contract with in 2011. In January he got his first professional stage win in La Tropicale Amissa Bongo. Bouhanni won his first stage of the 2012 season by winning stage 1 of the Étoile de Bessèges. 2013 Paris–Nice
The 2013 Paris–Nice was the 71st running of the Paris–Nice cycling stage race, often known as the ''Race to the Sun''. It started on 3 March in Houilles and ended on 10 March in Nice and consisted of eight stages, including a race-commencing prologue and a race-concluding mountain individual time trial. It was the second race of the 2013 UCI World Tour season. The race was won by Australia's Richie Porte of , who took the lead after winning the race's Glossary of cycling#queen stage, queen stage – the fifth stage – to :fr:Montagne de Lure, La Montagne de Lure, and also won the final time trial at Col d'Èze, to become the first Australian rider to win the race. 2013 Tour Of Oman
The 2013 Tour of Oman was the fourth edition of the Tour of Oman cycling stage race. It was rated as a 2.HC event on the UCI Asia Tour, and was held from 11 to 16 February 2013, in Oman. The race was won by Britain's Chris Froome, of . Froome's winning margin over runner-up Alberto Contador () was 27 seconds, and Australian Cadel Evans () completed the podium, twelve seconds behind Contador and 39 seconds down on Froome. In the race's other classifications, Froome also won the points classification, France's Kenny Elissonde of won the white jersey for the youth classification, by placing eighth overall in the general classification, and finished at the head of the teams classification. 2012 Vuelta A España
The 2012 Vuelta a España started on 18 August 2012 and was the 67th edition of the race. The race began in Pamplona with a team time trial and ended on 9 September, as traditional, in Madrid. The 2012 edition saw the return of the Bola del Mundo mountain top finish. It was the venue of an exciting battle between winner Vincenzo Nibali and runner-up Ezequiel Mosquera in the 2010 edition. It was the first time since 1994 that the race visited the region of Navarre. The previous time that Pamplona was visited by a Grand Tour in 1996, when the city hosted the finish of a memorable stage of the 1996 Tour de France. Arnaud Démare
Arnaud Démare (born 26 August 1991) is a professional road racing cyclist who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . In 2011 he won the UCI World Under-23 Road Race Championships, and in 2016 he won the Milan–San Remo. He is one of five riders to have won the French National Road Race Championships three times, having won the race in 2014, 2017 and 2020. Career 2012 season In August 2012, Démare won the first World Tour race of his career by prevailing in the Vattenfall Cyclassics, ahead of local favorite André Greipel and Giacomo Nizzolo. The Étoile de Bessèges () is an early-season five-day road bicycle racing stage race held annually around Bessèges, in the Gard department of the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France. First organized in 1971 as a one-day race, it became a stage race run over five days in 1974. Since 2005, it is on the calendar of the UCI Europe Tour as a 2.1 event and features as the earliest stage races of the European season. Points Classification In The Giro D'Italia
The points classification in the Giro d'Italia is one of the secondary classifications in the Giro d'Italia. It is determined by points awarded for placings in the daily stages, regardless of time gaps. From 1967 to 1969 the leader wore a red jersey but in 1970 it was changed to mauve, and named the ''maglia ciclamino'' (from Italian: ''mauve jersey''), the name of the colour in Italian being derived from the alpine flower the cyclamen. The red jersey was re-introduced in 2010, as the ''maglia rosso passione''. The UCI ProSeries is the second tier men's elite road cycling tour. It was inaugurated in 2020. The series is placed below the UCI World Tour, but above the various regional UCI Continental Circuits. Development In December 2018, the UCI announced various reforms to the structure and organisation of men's professional road racing. One of the major changes is the introduction of a new division of races called the UCI ProSeries. With the introduction of the ProSeries, the UCI .HC road races will disappear from the calendar. In October 2019, the UCI published the 2020 UCI International Road Calendar, including the ProSeries. The inaugural season of the ProSeries was planned to include 57 events, which were formerly World Tour, .HC or .1 events, but many were cancelled due to the worldwide Covid 19 pandemic of 2020-21.
