Naan Petra Selvam
''Naan Petra Selvam'' is a 1956 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by K. Somu and written by A. P. Nagarajan, starring Sivaji Ganesan and G. Varalakshmi. The film was released on 14 January 1956. Plot Shekar, the son of Mirasdar Gunaseelan, discovers that his cousins Gowri and Sundar are leading a difficult life. Gunaseelan has a daughter who was lost when she was a small girl. Shekar tries to help them against his father's wish and angered by his father's attitude, he leaves home with his cousins. Gunaseelan's accountant Vajram and wife Vadamalligai wants to take advantage of this rift and to usurp his employer's wealth. Gunaseelan's loyal servant Poyyamozhi tries his best to reveal Vajram's intentions, but falls to deaf ears. Sivaji Ganesan
Villupuram Chinnaiya Manrayar Ganesamoorthy, better known by his stage name Sivaji Ganesan, (1 October 1928 – 21 July 2001) was an Indian actor and producer. He was active in Tamil cinema during the latter half of the 20th century. Sivaji Ganesan is acknowledged as one of the greatest Indian actors of all time and among the most imitated one by other actors. He was known for his versatility and the variety of roles he depicted on screen, which gave him also the Tamil nickname ''Nadigar Thilagam'' (). In a career that spanned close to five decades, he had acted 288 films in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. Sivaji Ganesan is the only Tamil actor to have played the lead role in over 250 films. ''Kalki'' is a Tamil language, Tamil-language Weekly (news magazine), weekly magazine published from Chennai, India. The magazine was established by Kalki Krishnamurthy, a popular Tamil language, Tamil novelist and Indian freedom fighter, in 1941. Kalki Sadasivam, T Sadasivam was the magazine's co-founder. Raga Jaunpuri is a rāga in Hindustani classical music in the Asavari thaat. Pillavalu Gajapathy Krishnaveni (3 November 1935 – 16 August 2004), more famously known as Jikki, was an Indian playback singer from Andhra Pradesh. She sang around 10,000 songs in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and Sinhalese languages. Early life Jikki was born in Chennai on 3 November 1935. Her parents Gajapathi Naidu and Rajakanthamma, a Telugu family, had moved from Chandragiri, near Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh to Chennai for their livelihood. Her uncle, Devaraju Naidu, worked as a music composer with the celebrated Kannada theatre legend and movie pioneer Gubbi Veeranna and this introduced the young Jikki to the music and film world.
