NYJPN is a 2014 album by Ron Anderson, Tatsuya Yoshida (born 9 January 1961 in Kitakami, Iwate) is a Japanese musician; drummer and composer who is the only consistent member of the renowned progressive rock duo Ruins, as well as of Koenji Hyakkei. He is also a member of the progressive rock trios ..., and Nonoko Yoshida, under the name PAK. Ron Anderson (musician)
Ron Anderson (born 1959) is a New York City-based internationally known musician and composer. He is known for collaborations with many famous musicians, and has a large catalog of releases and compositions. History Anderson formed the group Rat At Rat R in Philadelphia in 1980. Anderson then moved to New York City in the early 1980s, where he recorded music for NPR as well as museum pieces. In 1989 he moved to California, where he formed The Molecules. In 1998 he moved to Switzerland, returning to the New York City in 1999, where he formed PAK. Projects Molecules Ron's first project was a band called The Molecules, who has a number of releases. A retrospective, ''Friends'', received positive reviews. PAK Ron's current project is called PAK, which first released, ''Motel''. PAK has had a line-up change recently but still performs in the New York area, notably at John Zorn's selective club, ''The Stone''. Tatsuya Yoshida
(born 9 January 1961 in Kitakami, Iwate) is a Japanese musician; drummer and composer who is the only consistent member of the renowned progressive rock duo Ruins, as well as of Koenji Hyakkei. He is also a member of the progressive rock trios Korekyojinn and Daimonji. Outside his own groups, Yoshida is renowned for his tenure as drummer in the indie progressive group YBO2, a band also featuring guitarist KK Null, whom he also joins in the current line-up of Zeni Geva and he has played drums in a late edition of Samla Mammas Manna. He has been cited as ''" heindisputable master drummer of the Japanese underground"''. Along with his participation in bands, he has also released several solo recordings. Nonoko Yoshida
is a New York City based Japanese saxophonist. She is a member of Pet Bottle Ningen, and has also played with Ron Anderson (musician), Ron Anderson's PAK (band), PAK and Yoshida Tatsuya. She has also worked with John Zorn. Her solo work in 2015 was received well. PAK (band)
PAK is an American, New York City based, band. They are signed to John Zorn's Tzadik label. PAK was originally formed by Ron Anderson in 2000, after he spent some time with The Molecules. The original line-up consisted of Anderson, Jesse Krakow, Will Redmond, and Race Age. This line-up released the album ''100% Human Hair''. In 2003, Race Age was replaced by Kim Abrams, Redmond left the group, and that version released Motel, which was well received. This version of the group also performed at the Bowery Poetry Club with Jac Berrocal. In 2007, Anderson reconfigured the group, switching from guitar to bass, and recruiting Tim Byrnes on various instruments. This version of the group toured Europe (as a duo, with Abrams and Anderson along with occasional guest musicians), and is currently working on their next release.
