NWA Virginia Tag Team Championship
The NWA Fusion Tag Team Championship are the tag team titles of the Virginia territory of the National Wrestling Alliance. The titles were formed in the WWC promotion in 1994 when Thunderstorm (Jimmy Jack Thunder & Matt Storm) defeated Carjacker and Cat Burglar in a tournament final. The title has stayed with the promotion throughout its various name changes and NWA membership being known as the ''WWC'', ''APWA'', ''RCW'' (Richmond Championship Wrestling), and ''NWA New York (State) Tag Team Championship'' before the promotion finally relocated to the Commonwealth of Virginia and became known as NWA Virginia. NWA Virginia was renamed NWA Fusion in mid-2008. Tag Team
Tag team wrestling is a type of professional wrestling in which matches are contested between teams of multiple wrestlers. Tag teams may be made up of wrestlers who normally wrestle in singles competition, but more commonly are made of established teams who wrestle regularly as a unit and have a team name and identity. In most team matches, only one competitor per team is allowed in the ring at a time. This status as the active or legal wrestler may be transferred by physical contact, most commonly a palm-to-palm tag which resembles a high five. Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) is an American professional wrestling promotion and former developmental promotion based in Louisville, Kentucky. Saluda, VA
Saluda is a census-designated place (CDP) in and the county seat of Middlesex County, Virginia, United States. The population as of the 2010 Census was 769. The Middlesex County Courthouse was built between 1850 and 1874 by architects William R. Jones and John P. Hill, and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. A championship or title in professional wrestling is a recognition promoted by professional wrestling organizations. Championship reigns are determined by professional wrestling matches, in which competitors are involved in predetermined rivalries. These narratives create feuds between the various competitors, which cast them as villains and heroes. The bookers in a company will place the title on the most accomplished performer, or whom they believe will generate fan interest in terms of event attendance and television viewership.
