NSW TrainLink D Set
The NSW TrainLink D sets, also referred to as the ''Mariyung'' trains, are a class of electric multiple units being built to replace NSW TrainLink's Intercity electric multiple unit fleet, slated to replace the entire V set fleet and allow the H sets to be reallocated to Sydney suburban services. The trains will operate on services from Sydney to Newcastle, Lithgow and Kiama. The first trains were delivered in December 2019, and are expected to enter service by December 2022. History In May 2014, the Government of New South Wales announced its intention to purchase new carriages for the NSW TrainLink Intercity network. Hyundai Rotem
Hyundai Rotem (founded in 1977) is a South Korean company that manufactures rolling stock, defense products and plant equipment. It is a part of the Hyundai Motor Group. Its name was changed from Rotem to Hyundai Rotem in December 2007 to reflect the parent company. History The company was founded in 1977. In 1999, the company changed its name to Korea Rolling Stock Corporation (KOROS) as a result of the merging between three major rolling stock divisions: Hanjin Heavy Industries, Daewoo Heavy Industries and Hyundai Precision & Industries. Downer Rail
Downer Rail is a business unit within the Downer Group. As well as manufacturing and maintaining railway rolling stock it holds maintenance contracts to maintain rail infrastructure. The head office is located in North Ryde. History The EDI Rail division was formed in March 2001 following the merger of Evans Deakin Industries and Downer Group to form Downer EDi. In July 2007 the division was renamed Downer Rail and in 2018 it merged with Downer's Infrastructure Services division to form Transport and Infrastructure. Kiama Railway Station
Kiama is a heritage-listed intercity train station located in Kiama, New South Wales, Australia, on the South Coast railway line. Lithgow Railway Station
Lithgow railway station is a heritage-listed former station master's residence and railway station and now guest accommodation and railway station located on the Main Western line at Railway Parade, Lithgow, City of Lithgow, New South Wales, Australia. It was designed and built by New South Wales Government Railways and built from 1924 to 1925. It is also known as Lithgow Railway Station Group and Residence and Eskbank East.
