NSEL (networking)
A Network Service Access Point address (NSAP address), defined in ISO/IEC 8348, is an identifying label for a Service Access Point (SAP) used in OSI networking. These are roughly comparable to IP addresses used in the Internet Protocol; they can specify a piece of equipment connected to an Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) network. A specific stream, analogous to a TCP/IP port or socket, is specified by using a Transport Service Access Point ( TSAP). ATM can also use a Presentation (PSAP) and Session (SSAP) Access Point, but these may also be unspecified; this is up to the application. Allocation and scope NSAP addresses are allocated by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), through a system of delegated authorities, which are generally national standards organizations. One of the schemes to generate NSAPs uses E.164 which is the addressing format describing telephone numbers. NSAP addresses do not specify where a network terminal is located. Routing equipment ...

National Spot Exchange
The National Spot Exchange Limited (NSEL) is India, India's first Spot market, spot exchange under the ownership of Ministry of Finance (India), Ministry of Finance, Government of India. It was established in view of the then Prime Minister's vision to create a "single market" across the country for both manufactured and agricultural produce. The Economic Survey of 2002-03 of the Government of India also recommended setting up a national-level, integrated market for agricultural products, as did the Planning Commission. This was followed by the Rangarajan Committee, which too sought a national spot market. It is under the ownership of Ministry of Finance (India), Ministry of Finance, Government of India.   The Government of India granted permission to NSEL along with two other spot exchanges to start operations. NSEL Case
NSEL case relates to a payment default at the National Spot Exchange, National Spot Exchange Limited that occurred in 2013 involving Financial Technologies Group, Financial Technologies India Ltd, when a payment default took place after a commodities market regulator, the Forward Markets Commission (FMC), directed NSEL to stop launching contracts. This led to the closure of the Exchange in July 2013. Three spot exchanges, National Spot Exchange, NSEL, NSPOT and National APMC were exempted by the government under Section 27 of Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010, FCRA to conduct forward trading in one day contracts. This was done to boost volumes so that their economic viability improved. While Financial Technologies (India) promoted NSEL, it was granted general exemption on June 5, 2007, whereas, NSPOT and National APMC received exemptions under the same provisions on July 23, 2008, and August 11, 2010, respectively. On the flawed recommendations of the FMC, the Ministry ...

Newmark Structural Engineering Laboratory
The Nathan M. Newmark Civil Engineering Laboratory, or Newmark Lab, located at 205 N. Mathews Avenue in Urbana, Illinois on the campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, houses the university's Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The Lab was built in 1967, and has been modified and updated a number of times since then. The facility was named after professor and department head Nathan M. Newmark after his death. The building consists of classrooms and offices surrounding a large open area called the crane bay for large scale experiments, including those of the Newmark Structural Engineering Lab (NSEL). Newmark also contains a professional machine shop where students and faculty can have material fabricated by the staffed professionals, and a student instrumentation workshop where students and faculty can fabricate materials themselves. In 2011, the M. T. Geoffrey Yeh Student Center was added to the building. Crane bay The crane bay is a large ...
