NNSWF State Cup
The Northern NSW Football State Cup was a Single-elimination tournament, knockout football competition which ended in 2014, being replaced by the preliminary rounds of the FFA Cup. The annual competition was organised by Northern NSW Football, NNSW Football, and open to all male teams. Prior to 1959, northern NSW teams participated in the Waratah Cup#Earlier NSW State Cups pre-Federation, State Cup for the whole state of NSW. Northern NSW Football
Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) is the governing body of soccer in the north of New South Wales, Australia. It is a member of the national governing body, Football Australia. The Federation was established the 9 September 1884 as the Northern District British Football Association. To fall in line with the global football identity, the federation was re-branded to Northern NSW Football on 25 October 2006. Formation On 9 September 1884, the Northern District British Football Association was established. On 25 October 2006, the Northern NSW Football was created due to internal restructuring and re-branding. Broadmeadow Magic FC
Broadmeadow Magic Football Club is a soccer club based in Broadmeadow, New South Wales, Broadmeadow a suburb of Newcastle, New South Wales, Newcastle, Australia. The club currently competes in the National Premier Leagues Northern NSW. History The club was founded on 9 April 1966 by Macedonian Australians as Newcastle Macedonia FC. Originally formed as a social club to play football together with other Macedonians, it is now a major force in Northern New South Wales' NBN State Football League. The club saw its first action on 20 March 1967 when they travelled to Evans Park (New South Wales), Evans Park to face Cardiff Workers RSL. A single-elimination, knockout, or sudden death tournament is a type of elimination tournament where the loser of each match-up is immediately eliminated from the tournament. Each winner will play another in the next round, until the final match-up, whose winner becomes the tournament champion. The Australia Cup, formerly known as the FFA Cup until the 2021 season, is the national football knockout cup competition in Australia. This annual competition is organised by Football Australia, formerly known as Football Federation Australia until 2020. The Australia Cup comprises teams from the top division, A-League Men (known as simply the A-League before the 2021–22 season), as well as those from lower tiers in the Australian soccer league system. Teams enter in progressive stages, with qualifying rounds culminating with the competition proper, starting with the Round of 32. Waratah Cup
The Waratah Cup is a knockout cup competition in New South Wales, run by the governing body of football in NSW, Football NSW. Teams competing in the Waratah Cup come from the National Premier Leagues NSW, National Premier Leagues NSW 2, National Premier Leagues NSW 3, National Premier Leagues NSW 4 and numerous other semi professional & amateur association clubs within New South Wales. The Cup is held during the NPL NSW seasons. Weston Bears Football Club is an Australian semi-professional soccer club based in Weston, New South Wales. At its senior level the club participates in the National Premier Leagues Northern NSW, the highest tier of Northern New South Wales Football and the second tier of Australian football after the A-League. South Cardiff Football Club is a semi-professional soccer club based in Cardiff South a suburb of Newcastle, Australia. The club was established in 1964 and currently competes in the Northern NSW State League Division 1. They are known as "The Gunners" after the nickname of London club Arsenal. Edgeworth Football Club is an Australian semi-professional football club based in the suburb of Edgeworth, near Newcastle, New South Wales. The first recorded football match involving a Young Wallsend team took place on 14 May 1892, when Minmi Rangers defeated Young Wallsend 3–0 at the Young Wallsend ground.
