The Croatian Fourth league (, or commonly ''1. ŽNL'') is a county-based fifth level league in the Croatian football league system. The name Četvrta HNL (4. HNL) is still used in some regions. Subdivisions The teams are divided into 9 county or inter-county subdivisions, competing in a double round-robin format. At the end of each season, the bottom teams are relegated to the respective county's Second league while the winners of each league are either promoted directly to the 3. Novalja
Novalja () is a town in the north of the island of Pag in the Croatian part of Adriatic Sea. In recent times, Novalja has become famous because of the Zrće Beach. History The earliest settlers on the island were an Illyrian tribe that came to the region in the Bronze Age; traces of their settlement can still be seen around Pag. Pag (island)
Pag (pronounced ; la, Pagus, it, Pago, german: Baag) is a Croatian island in the northern Adriatic Sea. It is the fifth-largest island of the Croatian coast and the one with the longest coastline. In the 2011 census, the population of the island was 9,059. There are two towns on the island, Pag and Novalja, as well as many smaller villages and tourist places. Croatian Second Football League
The Druga nogometna liga ( eng, Second football league), commonly Druga NL or 2. NL) is the third tier of the football league system. The league was established in 1991 following the dissolution of the Yugoslav League. It is operated by the Croatian Football Federation. It was previously known as the Third Football League, but was renamed with the other leagues for the start of the 2022–23 season. The 2004–05 Druga HNL (also known as 2. HNL) season was the 14th season of Croatia's second level football since its establishment in 1992. The league was contested in two regional groups (North Division and South Division), with 12 clubs each. North Division Clubs First stage Play-off Group Play-out Group South Division Clubs First stage Play-off Group Play-out Group Promotion play-off Cibalia and Novalja, winners of the North and South Division, qualified for a two-legged promotion play-off, which took place on 24 and 28 May 2005.
