The Šiška District (; sl, Četrtna skupnost Šiška), or simply Šiška (), is the most populous district (Slovenia), district () of the City Municipality of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. 2021–22 Slovenian Football Cup
The 2021–22 Slovenian Football Cup was the 31st edition of the football knockout competition in Slovenia. The tournament began on 15 September 2021 and ended on 11 May 2022 with the final. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Slovenia, the Intercommunal Regional Cup competitions were not held in the 2020–21 season; as a result, only all ten teams of the 2020–21 Slovenian PrvaLiga and the best two teams of the 2020–21 Slovenian Second League entered the competition. Olimpija Ljubljana were the defending champions after winning the previous season's final. Koper won their fourth title after beating Bravo 3–1 in the final. Slovenian Football Cup
The Slovenian Football Cup ( sl, Pokal Nogometne zveze Slovenije, ) is the top knockout tournament of Slovenian football and the second most important football competition in Slovenia after the Slovenian PrvaLiga championship. The cup was established in 1991 following the breakup of Yugoslavia. Since 2020, it has been known as Pokal Pivovarna Union after its headline sponsor, the Union Brewery. As of 2022, a total of 17 clubs have reached the cup final; the most successful side in the history of the competition is Maribor, who have triumphed 9 times in their 14 cup final appearances. They are followed by Olimpija and Koper, who both won four titles. Primorje hold the record for most appearances in the final without winning the title, finishing as runners-up in three consecutive finals between 1996 and 1998. Football in Slovenia is governed by the Football Association of Slovenia ( sl, Nogometna zveza Slovenije). Slovenia has participated in international football as an independent nation since 1991, when the country gained independence from SFR Yugoslavia. The Slovenia national football team has qualified for three major tournaments (UEFA Euro 2000, 2002 FIFA World Cup and 2010 FIFA World Cup). The Slovenian Regional Leagues ( sl, Slovenske regionalne lige) are the fourth tier leagues in the Slovenian football system.
