NIC Zuidlaren is an international horse riding competition in Zuidlaren, the Netherlands. Overview NIC Zuidlaren is the abbreviation of ''Noordelijk Internationaal Concours hippique Zuidlaren'' (Dutch), which might be translated in English as ''Northern International Equestrian Contest Zuidlaren''. In English (as also in Dutch) NIC Zuidlaren is the common name to be used for the event. Zuidlaren stands for the name of the village where the contest takes place. Zuidlaren is a village in the north of the Netherlands, which is why the contest refers to 'Northern' in its name. The realization of the event is largely under control of event organization BCM. Beatrix Of The Netherlands
Beatrix (Beatrix Wilhelmina Armgard, ; born 31 January 1938) is a member of the Dutch royal house who reigned as Queen of the Netherlands from 1980 until her abdication in 2013. Prins Bernhardhoeve
The Prins Bernhardhoeve (PBHZ) was a building complex for fairs and events in Zuidlaren, Netherlands. Opened in 1956, the complex consisted of three halls which were all named after members of the Dutch Monarchy, Dutch royal family. The largest hall was the Prince Constantijn hall, situated next to main entrance of the building. The building complex was demolished in 2016. Fairs and events In 1999 and 2000 the Domino Day took place in the Prins Bernhardhoeve complex. Jumping Indoor Zuidlaren was an annual horse riding competition in the PBH complex until 2010. Zuidlaren
Zuidlaren (Noordenvelds: ''Zuudlaoren'') is a village in the province of Drenthe in the Northern Netherlands. Zuidlaren has just over 10,000 inhabitants and is situated on natural heightened land which is called the Hondsrug. The village is part of the municipality of Tynaarlo. Formerly the village had its own municipality called Zuidlaren, but in 1998 Zuidlaren merged with Eelde and Vries.
