North Carolina Highway 152 (NC 152) is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of North Carolina. It serves as the main thoroughfare in southern Rowan County. Route description NC 152 is a predominantly two-lane highway that traverses from NC 150 in Mooresville to U.S. Route 52 (US 52) in Rockwell. History NC 150 was established in 1930 as a new primary routing from NC 150 east of Mooresville to NC 80 in Rockwell. By 1955, NC 152 was extended through downtown Mooresville replacing parts of NC 150 and NC 150A. In August 2003, NC 152 was realigned in downtown Mooresville to follow NC 3 to its northern terminus with NC 150, thus becoming NC 152's current western terminus. Mooresville is a large town located in the southwestern section of Iredell County, North Carolina, United States, and is a part of the fast-growing Charlotte metropolitan area. North Carolina Highway 80 (NC 80) is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of North Carolina. The highway connects the various mountain communities straddled along Buck Creek, South Toe River and North Toe River in Western North Carolina and serves as a direct route, via the Blue Ridge Parkway, to Mount Mitchell State Park. North Carolina Highway 3 (NC 3) is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of North Carolina. The road runs from US 601 in southern Concord, north through Mooresville to US 29 in Kannapolis. It is numbered after Dale Earnhardt, the NASCAR driver, who was driving the #3 car when he died at the 2001 Daytona 500. This state highway runs from Kannapolis, Earnhardt's birthplace, to downtown Mooresville, where many NASCAR teams are based.
