NCAA Season 98
NCAA Season 98 is the 2022–23 athletic year of the National Collegiate Athletic Association in the Philippines. It is hosted by Emilio Aguinaldo College and was opened on September 10, 2022. Background At the closing proceedings of NCAA Season 97, the then-Season Policy Board President from De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde turned over the NCAA Flag to the next host. Season 98 opened at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on September 10, with the rest of the elimination round of the seniors' basketball tournament once again returning at Filoil EcoOil Centre. After two seasons, events such as men's and women's volleyball, track and field, swimming, and beach volleyball events will return at the senior's division. Letran Knights
The Letran Knights are the collegiate varsity teams representing Colegio de San Juan de Letran in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The collegiate women's varsity teams are called the ''Lady Knights'', while the high school varsity teams are called the ''Squires''. UAAP Season 85
UAAP Season 85 was the 2022–23 athletic year of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). Season 85 theme is "Rise as One", and the season host was the Adamson University. With just seven events in Season 84, the collegiate league will be bringing back the full athletic calendar of events for Season 85. The year 2022 will thus hold two UAAP seasons. Rizal Memorial Coliseum
The Rizal Memorial Coliseum is an indoor arena in the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Manila, Philippines. Its capacity is 6,100. History The Rizal Memorial Coliseum within the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex was built on the former site of Manila Carnival Grounds in 1934 as a tennis stadium named "Rizal Memorial Tennis Stadium", but was later renamed “Rizal Memorial Coliseum” at an unknown time. It became a primary venue for the UAAP and the NCAA, before moving to much-larger venues such as the Araneta Coliseum. Mapúa Cardinals
The Mapúa Cardinals are the varsity sports teams of Mapúa University that play in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines). The Mapúa Cardinals holds the NCAA record for the most General Championships in the seniors' division with a total of 20—the last of these championships was won in 1993. At distant second is the Colegio de San Juan de Letran which has eight seniors' titles. The Philippine Institute of Sports Complex (also known as the PhilSports Complex) is a national sports complex of the Philippines. It is located in Meralco Avenue in Pasig, Metro Manila, Philippines. The JRU Heavy Bombers (also as José Rizal University Heavy Bombers) are the National Collegiate Athletic Association basketball team of the Jose Rizal University.
