NCAA Season 87
NCAA Season 87 is the 2011–12 season of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) of the Philippines. The host school, University of Perpetual Help System DALTA (UPHSD), led the opening ceremonies at the Araneta Coliseum on July 2, 2011. The men's basketball and the women's volleyball tournaments will be aired by ABS-CBN and Studio 23 for the tenth consecutive season, while the men's basketball events will be simulcast on DZRJ-AM. Preseason The Lyceum of the Philippines University became the tenth NCAA team after the league accepted Lyceum as a guest team for the 87 season. Management Committee (MANCOM) chair Mike del Mundo announced that Lyceum completed all of the necessary requirements, including the existence of a high school department. Arellano Chiefs
The Arellano University Chiefs is the athletic team of Arellano University. It is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA). The team has several intercollegiate varsity sports teams for women and men at Arellano. History Originally as the Arellano Flaming Arrows, the team won the National Student's Championship (NSC) in the 1970s. Years later, the Chiefs entered the best-of-three finals in the men's basketball division of the NCRAA in 2006 when they were defeated by the Saint Francis of Assisi College Doves. In a repeat finals appearance in 2007, head coach Leo Isaac finally led the Chiefs to the championship with a 67–64 game three win against the EAC Generals. Winning Percentage
In sports, a winning percentage is the fraction of games or matches a team or individual has won. The statistic is commonly used in standings or rankings to compare teams or individuals. It is defined as wins divided by the total number of matches played (i.e. wins plus draws plus losses). The Colegio de San Juan de Letran, (transl: College of San Juan de Letran) also referred to by its acronym CSJL, is a private Catholic coeducational basic and higher education institution owned and run by the friars of the Order of Preachers in Intramuros, Manila, Philippines. Ninoy Aquino Stadium
The Ninoy Aquino Stadium, now known as PSC Multipurpose Gym, is an indoor sporting arena located in the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Manila, Philippines. Originally built in the 1950s, it was renovated and renamed for Philippine senator Benigno S. EAC Generals
The Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) Generals are the varsity teams of Emilio Aguinaldo College of Paco, Manila. The Immaculate Conception Academy (ICA) is paired as the junior (high school) varsity team of the Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC). The EAC-ICA Brigadiers is the junior team of EAC Generals. They formerly played at the Universities and Colleges Athletic Association (UCAA) and the National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA). They are now playing in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines). Letran Knights
The Letran Knights are the collegiate varsity teams representing Colegio de San Juan de Letran in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The collegiate women's varsity teams are called the ''Lady Knights'', while the high school varsity teams are called the ''Squires''. The college's varsity teams also participate in other sports leagues such as the Filoil Flying V Preseason Cup, Fr.
