NACAC Mountain Running Championships
The NACAC Mountain Running Championships is an annual Mountain running competition organized by NACAC for athletes representing the countries of its member associations. Until 2012, only the participation of athletes from Canada, Mexico, and the United States was reported. The event was established in 2004. Mountain Running
Mountain running is a sports discipline which takes place mainly off-road in mountainous terrain, but if there is significant elevation gain on the route, surfaced roads may be used. In this it differs from fell running; also its courses are more clearly marked and avoid dangerous sections. It is a form of trail running if it is run on unpaved surfaces. Mountain running is a combination of running, jogging, and walking, depending on how steep the trail is. It is recognized by World Athletics and governed by the World Mountain Running Association that since 1985 organizes World Mountain Running Championships, world championships. Cypress Mountain Ski Area
Cypress Mountain is a ski area in West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, located in the southern section of Cypress Provincial Park, operated under a BC Parks Park Use Permit. The ski resort is a 30-minute drive north of downtown Vancouver, and has 53 named alpine ski runs (many accessible for night skiing) and 19 km of cross country trails. Snowshoeing tours are also popular.
