N64 Magazine
''NGC Magazine'' (''N64 Magazine'' until October 2001 (issue 59)) was a British magazine specialising in Nintendo video game consoles and software. It was first printed in 1997 and ran until 2006. It was the successor to ''Super Play'', a magazine that ended in September 1996. Many of the staff and the style of that publication persisted at ''N64 Magazine''. In November 2000, ''N64 Magazine'' merged with ''Nintendo World'', a magazine that was published by the same company, Future plc. ''NGC Magazine'' ceased publication in 2006. Its successor, ''NGamer'', was renamed ''Nintendo Gamer'' in January 2012, until publishing its final issue the following September. ''NGC Magazine'' was at the time of its closure one of the longest-running gaming magazines in the UK. Tim Weaver (author)
Tim Weaver (born 1977) is an English writer primarily known for his crime thrillers featuring missing persons investigator David Raker. Career Journalism Prior to publication of his first book, Weaver was a videogames journalist. He was editor of ''N64 Magazine'' and spent six years as editor of ''Xbox World'', leaving the magazine in 2011. More recently, he appeared as co-host of YouTube show GTA V O'Clock. In his wider career as a journalist, he has written about the long struggle he and his wife had to start a family. Novels Weaver's debut crime thriller ''Chasing the Dead'' – which took ten years to get published – was released in February 2010 and introduced the character of David Raker. Raker is a former journalist, who gave up his career in newspapers to care for his wife after she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Turok
Turok is a fictional character who first appeared in American comic books published by Western Publishing through licensee Dell Comics. He first appeared in ''Four Color Comics'' #596 (October/November 1954). After a second ''Four Color'' appearance (#656 October 1955), the character graduated to his own title – ''Turok, Son of Stone'' (#3 March–May 1956) — published by both Dell and then Gold Key Comics from 1956 to 1982. Subsequently, he appeared in titles published by Valiant Comics, Dark Horse Comics and Dynamite Comics. ''Nintendo Gamer'' was a magazine published in the United Kingdom which mainly covered Nintendo video game consoles and software. It was the successor publication to ''N64 Magazine'', later renamed NGC Magazine (1997–2006), and ''Super Play'' (1992–1996), continuing the unique style of those magazines. The publication was originally known as NGamer, with the first issue being released on 13 July 2006. From issue 71 onward, released on 5 January 2012, the magazine was renamed ''Nintendo Gamer'' and was significantly reformatted. On 30 August 2012, it was announced that issue 80 was to be the magazine's final issue. Upon launch the magazine covered the Nintendo DS, GameCube and Game Boy Advance game consoles, with pre-release coverage of the Wii. Jar Jar Binks is a fictional character of the Gungan race from the ''Star Wars'' saga created by George Lucas.
