n3D was an American 3DTV channel that launched on July 1, 2010. It was sponsored by Panasonic and available exclusively on DirecTV. It was the world's first 24-hour 3DTV channel. Operations ceased June 25, 2012. Programs Programming that has aired includes TNT's broadcast of NASCAR's 2010 Coke Zero 400 on July 3; the local telecasts of the New York Yankees-Seattle Mariners series on July 10–11; and the 2010 Major League Baseball All-Star Game (in conjunction with Fox). 2010 Major League Baseball All-Star Game
The 2010 Major League Baseball All-Star Game was the 81st midseason exhibition between the All-Stars of the American League (AL) and the National League (NL), the two leagues comprising Major League Baseball. The game was held on July 13, 2010, at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, the home of the American League Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and was telecast by Fox Sports in the US, with Joe Buck and Tim McCarver in the broadcast booth. Fox also teamed with DirecTV to produce a separate 3D broadcast, the first ever for a network Major League Baseball game. Kenny Albert and Mark Grace called the 3D telecast. ESPN Radio also broadcast the game, with Jon Sciambi and Dave Campbell announcing. The National League won the game 3–1, ending a 13-game winless streak. ''Encounter in the Third Dimension'' (sometimes referred to as ''Encounter in the Dimension'' due to the title screen's spelling error) is a 3-D film directed by Ben Stassen and Sean McLeod Phillips. It was released in the US on March 31, 1999. It has been shown in 3-D theaters and released on DVD with 3-D glasses, in both 2-D and 3-D format. Plot In his lab, the Professor (Stuart Pankin) does an intro for the Institute of 3-D Technology, but the intro dies, so the Professor uses the Letter Cannon for the title of the movie. However, it spells the word "third" as "thrid", so the Professor activates the spell correction, resulting in the lab's screen being destroyed and several fires being started, which are put out by the Professor's robot assistant, M.A.X. (Stuart Pankin). The 2010 US Open was a tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts, held from August 30 to September 13, 2010, in the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center at Flushing Meadows, Queens, New York City, United States. The tournament was initially going to finish with Men's Singles final on September 12, but was postponed due to rain on the last day and just before the men's tournament final.
