Márton Esterházy
Márton Esterházy (born 9 April 1956 in Budapest) is a Hungarian retired football player. He is a descendant of the Esterházy aristocratic family. After retiring, like his famous writer brother Péter Esterházy, he became a published author himself as well. He is also the head of the Hungarian Futsal Committee, and in February 2007 became a UEFA controller. Club career Esterházy played for Budafoki LC, Ferencváros and Honvéd, until he was acquired by AEK Athens. At AEK it didn't take long for him to impress, alongside Thomas Mavros and Hokan Sandberg they composed a "magical" triplet in the mid-80s. Highlight of his career on the goal of Pavlos Papaioannou against the Real Madrid on 18 September 1985, when with a jump over the ball he confused the opposing goalkeeper Ochotorena, as a result of which it ended up in his net. Pavlos Papaioannou (Greek: Παύλος Παπαϊωάννου; born 19 March 1959) is a Greek- Brazilian international former football player. Club career Papaioannou started his football career at Rodos with which he made great appearances, attracting the interest of the big clubs. On July 9, 1983, he was transferred to AEK Athens for 10 million drachmas plus the incomes from a friendly match between the two club in Rhodes. Papaioannou was a key member of AEK for most of his long spell at the club. He played mainly as a defensive midfielder, but also as a right back. He stood out for his good physical condition, his continuous running and his contribution mainly in the blocking part, while also participating in the offensive. The Canada men's national soccer team (french: Équipe du Canada de soccer masculin) represents Canada in international soccer competitions since 1924. The 1986 FIFA World Cup was the 13th FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial football tournament for men's senior national teams. It was played in Mexico from 31 May to 29 June 1986. The tournament was the second to feature a 24-team format. Colombia had been originally chosen to host the competition by FIFA but, largely due to economic reasons, was not able to do so, and resigned in 1982. Mexico was selected as the new host in May 1983, and became the first country to host the World Cup more than once, after previously hosting in 1970. The World Cup was won by Argentina (their second title, after winning in 1978).
