Márcio Carlsson
Márcio Carlsson (born 24 January 1975) is a former professional tennis player from Brazil. Career Carlsson was a member of the Brazilian team which won the Sunshine Cup in 1993, which was their first title since 1958. He and Gustavo Kuerten won the deciding doubles rubber over the Chilean pairing of Marcelo Rios and Robinson Gamonal. Earlier in the year, Carlsson had partnered Rios in the 1993 French Open, French Open boys' doubles event and the pair made the semi-finals. This helped Carlsson finish the season ranked sixth in the world junior doubles rankings. His usual junior doubles teammate however was Kuerten and the pair would also partner each other at ATP Challenger Series, Challenger tournaments in 1994 and 1995. Lucas Feltes Engel (born 1 December 1981) is a Brazilian former professional tennis player. A native of Novo Hamburgo, Engel competed in ATP Challenger and ITF Futures events, reaching a career high singles ranking of 297 in the world. Dirk Dier (born 16 February 1972) is a former professional tennis player from Germany. Career Dier, an under 12s and 14s national champion, was a semi finalist in the Orange Bowl. In 1990, he defeated Leander Paes to win the boys' singles event in the Australian Open and also finished runner-up in the juniors at Queen's that year. He appeared in the main draw of a Grand Slam for the first time at the 1990 Wimbledon Championships, where he lost in the opening round to countryman Michael Stich. Jaime Oncins (born 16 June 1970) is a former professional tennis player from Brazil. Oncins represented his native country at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, where he reached the quarterfinals before falling to Russia's Andrei Cherkasov. The 1999 Australian Open was a tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts at Melbourne Park in Melbourne, Australia. It was the 87th edition of the Australian Open and was held from 18 through 31 January 1999. This was the first Grand Slam of the calendar year. Total attendance for the event reached 391,504.
