Dr Myriam Francois is an award-winning Franco-Irish journalist, filmmaker and writer. Her work has appeared on BBC, Channel 4, Al Jazeera, and numerous other outlets and publications. Myriam is the founder and CEO of production companmpwr productions which specialises in documentary films which center minoritised voices. Myriam is currently working on her documentary directorial debut, ''Finding Aicha'', which is set to be released in 2023 on BBC Our World, BBC Arabic and CBC. Biography Myriam Francois was born in Camden, London, to Irish and French parents. Myriam attended a French school in London and is fully bilingual. She was born “Emilie Francois”, but changed her name when she became Muslim in 2004. The London Borough of Camden () is a London borough in Inner London. Camden Town Hall, on Euston Road, lies north of Charing Cross. The borough was established on 1 April 1965 from the area of the former boroughs of Hampstead, Holborn, and St Pancras—which together, prior to that date, had comprised part of the historic County of London. The cultural and commercial land uses in the south contrast with the bustling mixed-use districts such as Camden Town and Kentish Town in the centre and leafy residential areas around Hampstead Heath in the north.
