''Myanmar Idol'' is a popular Myanmar singing contest television series that is broadcast on MNTV. Its first season, in 2015, was described by ''The Myanmar Times'' as a "wild success". Due to its popularity, it has been extended for a fifth season in 2020. Since Season 3, the competition format has utilized a wild card during the top 4+1 show. SKYNET Direct to Home (DTH) is a Satellite television pay TV operator provided nationwide in Myanmar by Shwe Than Lwin Media Co.,Ltd. It was launched in November 2010. Sky Net broadcasts a total 80 channels via Apstar 7 satellite. It also provides internet services in the Pacific Asia area. The company is owned by Sino-Burmese businessman, Kyaw Win who is also the chairman of Skynet. Myanmar Idol (season 1)
The first season of ''Myanmar Idol'' premiered on December 11, 2015, and continued until April 8, 2016. It was won by Saw Lah Htaw Wah. The first season was co-hosted by Kyaw Htet Aung, the latter of whom left the show after the season ended. Regional auditions Auditions were held in Mandalay, Taunggyi, Mawlamyine, Pathein, and Yangon from October to November 2015, and around 10,000 attended the auditions. But three contestants didn't continue participate for family problem. So, only 83 contestants continue performed in Golden Week. Structure of auditions There are usually two stages in the audition process. In the first round they sing in front the executive producers and more are eliminated. In the second round those who survive the first stage sing in front of the judges and this is the audition shown on television. Chan Chan
Chan Chan was the largest city of the pre-Columbian era in South America. It is now an archaeology, archaeological site in La Libertad Region west of Trujillo, Peru. Chan Chan is located in the mouth of the Moche Valley and was the capital of the historical empire of the Chimor from 900 to 1470, when they were defeated and incorporated into the Inca Empire. Chimor, a conquest state, developed from the Chimú culture which established itself along the Peruvian coast around 900 AD. Chan Chan is in a particularly arid section of the coastal desert of northern Peru. ''Melody World'' ( my, သံစဉ်များနဲ့ကမ္ဘာ) is a televised singing competition broadcast in Myanmar by Myawaddy TV. Several prominent Burmese singers, including Chan Chan, Irene Zin Mar Myint, and Ni Ni Khin Zaw, made their musical debuts on ''Melody World''. The show is hosted by Myint Moe Aung. Shwe Thanlwin Company ( my, ရွှေသံလွင်ကုမ္ပဏီ) is a major Burmese company, which imports a large number of motor vehicles, construction goods and heavy machinery into Myanmar. It was founded by Kyaw Win, a close associate of Kyaw Hsan, a former military general, and enjoyed an exclusive business relationship with the Ministry of Industry in the 2000s. Shwe Than Lwin is one of the few companies allowed to import coconut cooking oil and cement and agricultural projects in Irrawaddy division and is the sole distributor of tires from Thaton Tire Industry, which is under the Ministry of Industry (2).
