"My Soul Pleads For You" is the second single released from Blue band-member Simon Webbe's second solo album, ''Grace''. The track was first premiered on 12 December 2006 through Webbe's official website. The B-side for the single is a cover version of The Killers first single, " When You Were Young", recorded live on the BBC Radio 1 ''Live Lounge''. The single was only released in the UK and the Netherlands, the latter due to notable airplay and live performances by Webbe in the country. Simon Webbe
Simon Solomon Webbe (born 30 March 1979) is a British singer. He is best known as a member of the boy band Blue, forming in 2000 before splitting in 2005 and reforming in 2009, selling over 15 million records. Webbe released three solo studio albums in 2005, 2006 and 2017, sold over 700,000 records worldwide and had five UK Top 40 singles. History Webbe was born on 30 March 1978. Live Lounge
The Live Lounge is a segment on the British radio stations BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 1Xtra. It was originally hosted by Simon Mayo, and later by Jo Whiley on her weekday mid-morning, and later weekend lunchtime radio shows, then by Fearne Cotton from 2009 until 2015, and then by Clara Amfo from May 2015 to August 2021. Since September 2021 the segment is now hosted by Rickie Haywood-Williams, Melvin Odoom and Charlie Hedges. It exhibits well-known artists usually performing one song of their own and one by another artist, in an acoustic format. The Live Lounge itself is also a physical room in the Radio 1 studios, from where some of the performances are broadcast; however, due to its size, many are done from the BBC Maida Vale Studios. After entering the UK Albums Chart at #40 based on downloads only, the album peaked at #11 upon its physical release. In Ireland, it failed to chart inside the Irish Top 100. The album was released to a similar lack of interest in Asia, South Africa and Australia.
