My Other Husband
''My Other Husband'' (french: Attention une femme peut en cacher une autre! ) is a 1983 French romantic comedy film directed by Georges Lautner. Plot Before the film begins, Alice unintentionally acquires two husbands: airplane pilot Philippe and teacher Vincent. She married Philippe first and they never officially divorced. Years later she began living with Vincent. She has children with each man and lives parallel lives in two different cities. Eventually, each "husband" learns of the other's existence—leading to a competition between the two of them for Alice's affections. Georges Lautner
Georges Lautner (; 24 January 1926 – 22 November 2013) was a French film director and screenwriter, known primarily for his comedies created in collaboration with screenwriter Michel Audiard. Lautner's ventures into other genres were less successful though the thriller Le Professionnel starring Jean-Paul Belmondo was a big commercial hit in France in 1981. He was born in Nice, the son of actress Renée Saint-Cyr. Alain Poiré
Alain Poiré (13 February 1917 – 14 January 2000) was a French film producer and screenwriter. He was born in Paris, and died in Neuilly-Sur-Seine. Life and career Alain Poiré graduated from law school and worked for advertising group Havas. In 1938, he moved to working for the film company Société Nouvelle des Etablissements Gaumont (SNEG) as assistant general manager in order to save the company from financial disaster. SNEG was renamed Gaumont Film Company in 1975. Always passionate about cinema, he didn't leave Gaumont until his death in 2000, becoming one of the most prolific producers in French cinema, particularly from the 1950s on. As producer at Gaumont and manager of Gaumont International, Alain Poiré produced more than 200 films. His final film, released after his death, was La Vache et le President. Henri Decaë (31 July 1915 – 7 March 1987) gained fame as a cinematographer entering the film industry as a sound engineer and sound editor. He was a photojournalist in the French army during World War II. After the war he began making documentary shorts, directing and photographing industrial and commercial films. In 1947 he made his first feature film. Decaë is strongly associated with directors who strongly influenced, or were part of, the French New Wave.
