My Jerusalem
My Jerusalem is an American Indie Rock band based in Austin, Texas. The band consists of Jeff Klein ( vocals) and Ross Dubois ( bass guitar). The band rose to critical acclaim after releasing their debut album ''Gone For Good''. Career beginnings In its initial stages, My Jerusalem was a revolving door collective. My Jerusalem's connecting thread was Jeff Klein, who had played with each of the band's current members on his solo tour and as a touring and recording member of The Twilight Singers and The Gutter Twins Jeff first met Dave Rosser, a touring member of the Twilight Singers, through producer Mike Napolitano. Drummer Cully Symington was in bands like Cursive and Bishop Allen and The Gutter Twins. Rick Nelson, who plays violin, viola, cello and keyboards in the band, is a longtime member of the Polyphonic Spree and St. Vincent. The Psychedelic Furs
The Psychedelic Furs are a post-punk band founded in London in February 1977. Led by lead vocalist Richard Butler and his brother Tim Butler on bass guitar, the Psychedelic Furs are one of the many acts spawned from the British post-punk scene. Their music went through several phases, from an initially austere art rock sound, to later touching on new wave and hard rock. The band had several hits in their early career. In 1986, filmmaker John Hughes used their song "Pretty in Pink" for his film of the same name. They went on hiatus after they finished touring in 1992, but resumed in 2000 and continue to perform live. The band released '' Made of Rain'', their first studio album in nearly three decades, on 31 July 2020. Peter John Joseph Murphy (born 11 July 1957) is an English singer, songwriter, and musician. He is the vocalist for the post-punk goth rock band Bauhaus. After Bauhaus initially disbanded, Murphy formed Dali's Car with Japan's bassist Mick Karn and released one album, '' The Waking Hour'' (1984). He later went on to release a number of solo albums, including '' Should the World Fail to Fall Apart'' (1986) and ''Love Hysteria'' (1988). Jason Sebastian Russo (born August 16, 1973, in Yonkers, New York) is an American rock musician. He was a member of Mercury Rev from 1994 to 2001, and rejoined in 2011 for the Don't Look Back concert series Deserter's Songs reunion tour. He founded the psychedelic rock band Hopewell in high school. Hopewell has since gone on hiatus. They released their fifth album, ''Good Good Desperation'', on Tee Pee Records in 2009. He is also leader of the band Common Prayer. Common Prayer's debut record ''There Is A Mountain'' was released in the UK by Big Potato Records, a label founded in part by Slowdive's Neil Halstead.
